((The Celestial Temple Pub, Deep Space 14))
The last few weeks… months… it had been a lot. They’d survived what had been colloquially called the ‘Grinners’, along with the Herald of the Endless Expansion, the Dark Peace Bringer, the crew mutating, and having to barricade himself in his quarters until the order had come to abandon ship.
If that wasn’t enough, there was the complexities of his relationship with Lhandon. He’d felt the sizzle of a spark reigniting while they were in the bowling alley. It was more so the aspect that Lhandon was putting duty above all else, a trait that Eli held dearly. Though in many matters, Lhadon wore his heart on his sleeve and acted upon it. Less so in his assignments now, but still in their relationship.
There were a lot of feelings. Some confusing, some overwhelming. Most of all, his brain wanted a decision, where his heart felt pulled in a million directions. The emotions threatened to all fall out at once, and Eli was doing his best to patch the cracks in the dam.
Lhandon was just returning from the Amity, and between the repair shifts and onboarding of replacement officers, Eli had barely enough time to himself to process things. But, they were in a relationship, so the pair had decided to carve out time to have dinner on Deep Space 14.
Now, the junior lieutenant sat at the table, sipping a glass of spring wine while waiting for the Gaultan. As he saw his dinner companion approach, he set down the glass and stood up with a gentle smile.
Nilsen: Response
Kovacs: Not at all, I arrived early, so I decided to sample the local offering. ::tilting his head, using his nose to point to the glass:: And, they’ve got a decent selection on offer.
There was an embrace, long enough to recognize their time apart.
Nilsen: Response
Eli took his seat, pulling up a menu and flipping through the different images of cuisine on offer.
Kovacs: Busy. Extremely busy. In fact, I haven’t had much time to think since you went on a temporary assignment; it just seems like a blur.
Nilsen: Response
One of the items on the menu stood out, I-Kiyoan Spice Petals . He flipped the self-order device and pointed to his discovery, excited that they’d been to the locale where this month’s specialty was derived from.
Herrick: Have you seen this?
Nilsen: Response
OOC: Please bear with my sim pace as I work to keep up with both ships, but there are a few committed scenes I’m looking to close out here on the Butler.
