Morro pulled Sevantha close. He was tired of this guy.

Caras: Well that might be the case. We might not say it often. But it’s because we don’t have to. Our love isn’t made to be on display like these items. It’s a true treasure. The kind that’s mentioned in poetry, but deeply private.

Morro was angry and upset. This night had already taken a turn for the worst, and he feared he had dragged Sevantha through too much already. This was all his fault. He would make it up to her.

Sevantha’s gaze shifted to Morro in concern, he was losing his cool and allowing this man to get under his skin, and the pressure wasn’t letting up. Her hand moved to rest on his arm attempting to sooth him. She was too cautious to attempt telepathic communication in front of the pirate, they didn’t need to make him more suspicious than he already was. Her rejection of him had wounded his ego and now he sat needling Morro’s guise for any holes.

Saa: Darling

She tried to hone his focus back on her.

Suddenly, Morro pulled Sevantha into an enrapturing kiss to prove his point to Zelos, pulling Sevatha’s small frame to his body and even picking her up a bit with a single arm.

Her eyes widened a little in surprise but quickly fell in sync with the act. Her arms draped around Morro’s broad shoulders comfortably, bracing herself as her mind temporarily overheated and blanked out. They didn’t have time for hesitation nor panic for the many boundaries they may have just crossed with one another, not if they wanted to keep the act up… but was it an act?

He then gently set her down. The force of gravity struggling to separate them.

Caras: You knew before I was invited here, that I was a private person. The fact that you think we wouldn’t be bonded is insulting. Normally I wouldn’t feel I’d have to prove anything to anyone, but for her sake, I’ll make sure you know that my heart belongs to her.

Staying close to his side, Sevantha’s gaze lowered briefly with a hint of red in her cheeks, which worked to further the statement they were a particularly private pair. She’d tuck a stray blonde wave back behind her ear before turning to politely smooth the skirt of her flowing black A-line halter cut dress.

Zelos: Very well. I just knew she was your muse. Your writings of her are legendary, I didn’t see any of that fire when I walked in here. ::looking at Sevantha:: but now I certainly see it.

Feeling the other Orion’s eyes on her, Sevantha looked up, offering a small, faint smile that masked her underlying wariness of the man.

Saa: A fire does not need a witness for it to burn.

Cool and collected, Sevantha affectionately traced her hand along Morro’s cheek before turning her focus to Zelos,  thinking best how to redirect the conversation to the subject at hand.

Saa: Would you prefer he continue to prove our identities through endless poetic declarations dedicated to me or may we be allowed to continue our discussion regarding the legitimacy of these pieces.

Zelos: Honestly I wouldn’t mind hearing some of the hits. It is such a rare treat afterall.

Zelos seems like the kind of person that always played with his food, even when his prey was deadly.

Caras: Well I don’t think we have the time to go through my collected works.

Was this man on the straightened path or was he operating onboard under false pretenses. Did he still have connections to the pirates and were they starting to expand their operations into the Gamma Quadrant?

Zelos: A shame, I’ve heard rumor that you’ve kept yourself locked away until your next collection was finished.

Caras: Don’t believe everything you hear. There are things of a certain rarity that are at the auction here. You wouldn’t happen to have anything that might interest me would you?

Before the question could be answered by Zelos, Sevantha’s attention abruptly shifted from Morro and Zelos to the door of the conference room. A powerful and incredibly familiar presence rippled in the atmosphere, her mind almost automatically reached for it despite she could not see it. She held her breath.

Saa: oO No… Oo

Her hand resting back on Morro’s forearm gave a quick and as firm as she could muster squeeze to quietly inform him someone was inbound.

The presence closer and closer until suddenly the door of the conference room was thrown open by a man in a pristine white suit, well styled blonde hair, an impeccably kept five o’clock shadow and trimmed mustache with void black eyes that gave away his Betazoid heritage. He barely looked at any of them, simply declaring as he entered boldly.

Peirse: Ah! Finally found you Zelos, sorry for interrupting but you’ve been cloistered away and I’ve business- ::he pauses seeing Morro and Sevantha:: By the Four…

Sevantha froze, staring at the man in front of her as his gaze shifted from Zelos to Morro and finally to her, a single brow lifting upwards in amused curiosity and excitement.

Caras: oO What is wrong? Why are you frozen? Does Zelos suspect us? Oo

Saa: ~ That man is my father… and he can definitely hear us.~

Sevantha’s first thoughts were shared with her father, her first attempts to communicate were with him.Peirse Saa could hear the surface thoughts as clearly as he would hear her speaking directly to him. What was he doing here?!

Caras: oO Wait, what do I do? How should I… Is our cover already blown!? Oo

Peirse: You must be Davian Maddox, big fan of your work, honestly I’d thought you a Betazed psychodramatist when I first read your works, and ::looking to Sevantha:: this personification of beauty must be the muse you write so much about these days.

He smiled at them both and very quickly he’d wormed his way easily into the mental connection Sevantha and Morro held by connecting with his daughter. Much like Sevantha, his telepathy smooth and seamless in transition to thought, though his spoken voice and the voice in his mind held no difference compared to Sevantha’s struggle to sound as fluid verbally as she thought.

Peirse: ~My precious little Vanna, what are you up to?~

Saa: ~Atda.~ ::speaking:: A pleasure.

Caras: oO What do we do?! Oo

What else? The show must go on.

Caras: You’re probably wondering how we got here….
