(( Deck 4 Saucer, USS Octavia E. Butler ))
(( Time Index: 2155 Hours ))
Aine hated goodbyes. She'd had to do so many of them. It always seemed to be happening, but it was just a part of being in Starfleet that one would get used to with time. As used to it as one could anyways. It only seemed like yesterday she'd arrived on the 'Oumuamua, greeted by an old friend and a new face ((OOC: see what I did there? Because Kessler was there but also Iljor had a new faceclaim?)). And now, that old friend was leaving. She'd avoided the topic, and him. But that wasn't fair. Too often her goodbyes were silent and no one saw it coming. It was time to right that wrong. She knew when he was scheduled to leave and made her way out of the party to say goodbye without telling anyone. Just an, "I'll be back in a bit."
When she made it near the transporter room, she spied Iljor and Lia and approached easily.
Etan: This is quite something, Captain.
Rouiancet: Response.
Sherlock: You know you're going to do great.
Any: Response.
Etan/Rouiancet: response
Sherlock: I just wanted to come by to say ::beat:: well, I don't want to say goodbye, because I'm sure we'll see each other again. But...
Etan: response
Sherlock: I'm just ::beat:: really proud of you. And ::long pause:: I'm gon miss ya.
Aine was getting...emotional. Her accent coming out more at the end of her sentence clearly gave it away.
