Miash: Can I get you a refill?
Wing: No thanks, this will be enough. ::pause:: I hope my dropping in like this wasn’t a problem. ::pause:: And I really appreciate your inviting me to do yoga with you.
Miash was stoked the new crew member had decided to drop by. She always tried to know every new nurse in the house, but things had been a little hectic lately with a few nurses short on the team. Miash saw this as a cool chance to get an extra pair of hands on her shift to handle some of the workload, freeing up her time to focus on getting more nurses on board.
Miash: Not a problem at all, it’s a great opportunity for anyone to relax a little.
Wing: Do you think it would be an issue if we were to work together? You do the scheduling, I heard. So you could schedule it.
Miash: I can’t imagine why it be an issue dear. I’ll look into moving around a few staff members, see if we can’t get you over to day shift.
Wing: That would be great! Dr. Toz mentioned you were studying to be a doctor. Is it hard work? ::pause:: I better become a regular nurse, though, first.
Miash: It’s a lot of work and time. I’ve actually been working on advancing my medical skills for about 50 years, it’s just recently that I’ve put more focus on becoming a doctor. (beat) There are a few other Ferengi doctors in Starfleet but I’ve heard they’re all men, I’m hoping to be the first female. (beat) But I’m really doing this for myself, not for the accolades.
Wing: Response
They continued to sip on their tea. Shore leave was coming to an end Miash wasn’t too confident that they’d have much free time to relax like this and invited Wing to hang out for the evening.
