Miash had been Yinn's yoga instructor since they were still on the 'Oumuamua, and she thought of her as more of a friend than a medical professional she had to take seriously. But she really only knew Dr. Toz as a stern professional. Which is exactly what the situation warranted, at least for poor Loq's sake.

Miash: … I’m going to give you a general analgesic for the pain and ask Dr. Toz to continue this evaluation.

Moving to the table next to the biobed Miash retrieved a hypospray and injected the large Klingon with the analgesic.

Toz: Hello, everyone.

Miash: response

Yinn: Doctor! Thank goodness you're here. We have a Klingon with no stomach lining, as a result of some combination of eating moderately toxic leaves from Cheyd'langa, multiple quadrants' worth of alcohol, and... um... certain mildly acidic Bolian bodily fluids. (notices Miash) Oh! Sorry. That's your job. I'll get out of your way.

Yinn gingerly swung her legs up and lay back in her own biobed.

Toz: Five cc’s… ::eyeing the size of Loq:: make that 15 cc’s Alizine, nurse. ::beat:: These readouts indicate Klingon’s do much better when not subjected to strange and exotic fare. ::glaring:: Ensign Yinn, yes, I mean you. .

Yinn: I can't help being so irresistible!

Loq: It will be a struggle, but I believe I can resist you in the future.

Miash: response

Toz: If you’re going to have romantic liaisons, please use caution in future.

Yinn sat up gingerly in the biobed.

Yinn: I know. (she looked at Loq wistfully). It's not always easy. I'm painfully aware that everyone else's alkaline body chemistry makes me... a less than ideal partner. Bolians live with our whole extended families, and we usually marry at least four other people. We're really not built to be alone. And on this ship... I've spent every night alone.

She saw Miash and Toz looking at her; the last thing she wanted was to make them feel sorry for her. All she wanted was to explain why she took the risk she had taken with Loq.

Yinn: And Klingons are tough! I thought maybe it'd be okay. ::to Loq:: And I did warn you!

Loq: I will admit, I did not take your warning seriously. It seemed unlikely that someone so slender and frail could cause me any harm.

Toz: Oh! Very well, how about cutting down on the experiments?

Yinn: ::mock offended:: But I'm a scientist! ::serious:: Okay, I think I've learned my lesson here. Loq, I'm sorry to put you through this. Although I still think it's your fault for eating those leaves.

Loq was annoyed; she was still trying to avoid responsibility. But then he supposed he shared some of the blame.

Loq: And I am sorry for eating your experiment. You should label your work properly.

Toz/Miash: response

(ooc: If either of you have more to add, by all means keep the scene going, but I'm happy to end it here.)
