((Botanical Arboretum, Deck 9. USS Octavia E Butler.))

Patting the soil down and sitting back, Milly scratched at an itch on her cheek. The action left a smear of dirt that went unnoticed as she focused on the plant she had just placed. It was a Terrucidian Orchid and one of her grandfathers favourite flowers. She had wandered in amongst the trees, well away from the various pathways through the trees in order to find the perfect, private little spot.
Having found the perfect spot she had spent several days researching the various trees nearby to ensure the orchid would not overly affect the soil composition. She'd had a whale of a time doing so, thinking back to all the time she had spent in her Aunt Lauren's flower shop back on 118.
Next to the young flower she stuck a small spike into the soil which held a small frame. Within was an old style printed photograph of her grandfather. He was wearing a mischeavous smile and a brightly coloured paper crown as he looked towards the camera that had snapped the image.

Gathering her PADD and a few other bits she stuffed them into her backpack before slinging it over one shoulder. Taking up the now empty flower pot in her left hand, she gripped the strap of her pack in her right hand and stood. Looking down at the photograph from her third birthday she gave a little smile.

Milly: I'll let daddy know where you are. Love you, grandpa.

And with that she set off with the intent of going home to read her book and cuddle Nessie.
Her journey out of the Arboretum was delayed by the sighting of a man out on his own amongst the trees. Curious as ever, Milly circled around the man to approach from his front. As she did so she recognised the mans face from a call he'd made to her father a few days previously.

Milly: Hi.

Etan: response

Stepping closer she shrugged lightly, smiling up at the vessels Bajoran First Officer.

Milly: Oh, I like how peaceful it is away from the pathways. ::Pausing to put her pack on the floor.:: Why are you out here on your own? Are you hiding?

If curiosity could have had a face of its very own, it would be the girl with the green streaks through her dark hair that was now almost grilling a Starfleet officer over double her age.

Etan: response

Milly: He's my dad. But you're avoiding my questions.

She was also very mature for her age and not easily fooled or distracted.

Etan: response

That was a very good question.
Milly pouted for a moment as she thought how to answer.
