Lt Cmdr. Avander Promontory: What Is Up, Doctor?

The existence of a Dyson Ring in the Gamma Quadrant fascinated Avander. Continuing a theme of many of their recent discoveries, the origins of the ring had been lost to history. The current inhabitants seemed peaceful enough and the ring’s relative close proximity and neutral status made it an excellent spot to let the crew rest and take a breather after the last mission.
After a long bath (and several naps), Avander Promontory was feeling caught-up enough to attend to some of his duties as XO. He had begun visiting with the department heads for their monthly check-ins, and after his first effort at that with Katsim Peri, he had a more solid plan for his next.
He had sent a memo ahead of time to Dr. Toz, so this visit wouldn’t be a complete surprise and had reviewed the recent updates from the medical and counseling teams so he would be better prepared to chat with the acting Chief Medical Officer.
He stood a moment at her door while the good doctor seemed engrossed in a set of PADDs.
Toz: Response
Promontory: Take your time, whenever you’re ready.
Toz: Response
Avander strode in and took the seat opposite the chief.
Promontory: This doesn’t need to be an overly formal thing, but as First Officer, I’m supposed to do a monthly check-in with the department heads. As you are the acting CMO, I want to hear your personal assessment of the medical and counseling staff, but first, I want to hear how you are doing.

Promontory: Understandable. Anything else?
