Cmdr. Katsim Peri - "Hard Day's Night"

Peri had been brought into a hologram that she thought was education. Instead, it was more of a historical replication of a band from ancient times that had, at the time, been wildly popular. As people awaited for the concert to begin, a man announced that one of the members, Ringo, had been kidnapped. Almost immediately, Ragh announced they would find out what happened, and the three of them headed toward the back stage. By that point, some people had started to leave, a mixture of anger and sadness upon their faces. Ringo was obviously one of the Beetles, and the Beetles were obviously a band that was popular. While the room wasn’t huge, it was filled to the brim with an audience who had come expecting to hear music they loved by people they loved. The kidnapping derailed their plans.
Peering from behind the back stage, Peri watched as some trailed out, talking and discussing the announcement, others remained, though they did pretty much the same thing. By that time, a couple of people had come on stage, talking and gesturing to one another, one of them the announcer who had told everyone what happened.
Katsim: People probably shouldn’t leave.
Ragh: :: frowning:: Probably not.
JoNz took point that time, and made an announcement, her voice reverberating through the room thanks to the microphone.
JoNz: Folks and gentlebeings, please stay put as we will be coming around to ask questions.
With that, JoNz jumped off the stage and into the waiting people. If she was going to interrogate the crowd, she had a long, hard day’s night ahead of her. Meanwhile, Ragh turned to the Bardassian, apologetic.
Ragh: This isn't... What I had anticipated.
Katsim: Nor I.
Then again, she hadn’t expected a music concert from the get go. Now it had turned into something else.
Ragh: JoNz seems made for this. Though I don't think the culprit is a member of the crowd.
Peri nodded, and motioned toward JoNz who was starting to move through the crowd. There was no way they could ask questions of so many people and it not take forever. Ragh got down off the stage and approached JoNz, but Peri merely stopped at the edge of it.
Ragh: We need to narrow this down. Should we.. talk to the Beatles?
Peri’s eyes flicked toward the back stage area again. They had headed there to begin with until she had mentioned the crowd leaving - and then JoNz had gotten distracted with the idea of canvassing the crowd.
Katsim: If we are investigating, then it will be necessary. We can ask the crowd to refrain from leaving, but we need to go to where the kidnapping happened and start there.
JoNz: Response
At that point, the man who had announced the kidnapping emerged from back stage, another gentleman with him. The second was clad differently, bedecked in a long trench coat, and a hat atop his head with a wide brim that helped hide his face. When he spoke, it was with a strange lilt to his voice.
Mysterious figure: Mark here told us you're investigators.
He paused, only a moment, but when he spoke again, his voice cracked.
Mysterious Stranger: You've got to get our Ringo back.
Our Ringo? Was that person related to the missing man? Peri glanced at the other two. In her mind, she still couldn’t understand why they were named after an insect, which was a really strange name for a band. She pushed that aside - it wasn’t going to help the situation.
Katsim: We will try.
And she supposed if she was in it, she might as well be in it fully.
JoNz/Ragh: Response
Motioning for the two officers to join her on the stage, Peri then turned and nodded toward the men. If they wanted the help of the officers, they would have to let them look around.
Katsim: So…back stage? She was trying to get into it - really she was. Peri wasn’t used to doing holo programs like that, and when she did do the occasional one, it was with Wes. Not having him there was weird too.
JoNz/Ragh: Response
So Ringo was gone. Peri had no idea who the other members of the band were, but it made sense that they were the first people that she and her companions should talk to. Since Ringo had been kidnapped and not all of them, someone had a specific reason for targeting that particular member of the group. Why, she didn’t know, but she supposed they would eventually find out.
In silence, Peri followed the men backstage. For the second time, they were shrouded in the dimness of the area. A minute later, they came to another door and led through it into a hallway that was more well lit. Angling toward the left, she noticed another door at the end of the hall labelled ‘Green Room’. Once again, she was left confused, because as soon as they stepped through the doorway, she could see the room wasn’t green at all. However, three other men, hair down to their ears indicating they were definitely not military, and all in matching suits sat around looking miserable.
Katsim: The…Beatles?
JoNz/Ragh: Response
