OOC: I’m gonna mash this together into something a little more complete, sorry if something is still out of whack.

(( Operations Center, Deck 7, USS Octavia E. Butler ))

Arlill: Scorry ensign, scanners?

More like Cadet scanners, Anton thought.

He wasn’t reading anything out of the ordinary here, and before he could make a similar remark out loud Sherlock abruptly got the conversation back on track.

Sherlock: Nothing, he's just ::beat:: learning more about the ship. That's all. So, can we get him setup?

Arlill: The Lieutenant JG ::motioning towards Nilsen:: can help you out with everything.

Sherlock: Really? Him?

It was becoming pretty clear to Anton that whatever was going on between his chief and the members of ops was not going to be picked up by any sort of computer readings.

Richards: ::clears throat::

This was Anton’s attempt to be involved, whilst staying completely out of whatever was going on between the officers.

Arlill: Is there a problem sir?

Sherlock: No, nothing. It's fine. We'll run it by him. Come on ::nodding her head to the side towards Nilsen::, thanks Chief.

Arlill: Any time, here to help. ::smiling and continuing his rounds::

Sherlock: Hey, stop fighting it. The computer's there to help.

Nilsen: I want to. But I swear she’s hate me. What can I do you sir?

Anton wondered for a moment if somehow a fight with the ships computer had caused the bruise on the ops officers face.

Sherlock: New officer, needs quarters.

Nilsen: Richards right? Anton? Yeah I got you. Figured you’d be coming by.

Richards: That would be me.

Anton admired the holographic image that Nilsen had brought up for display. He debated waving his hand through the image in an awe struck fashion, but decided against it.

Nilsen: Right so, we can either squeeze you into deck four, or if you don’t want to be next to the warp field governors, we’ve got more open rooms on deck 5, I do need to keep filling that deck up. I’m guessing you don’t want the speech about the OC, what it can do and all that. ::smiles::

Anton was curious as to what the speech might entail but decided it was best if he didn’t bother his new shipmates with his nonsense quite yet.

He considered his options, he knew the holosuites were located on deck 5, that seemed like an appropriate spot to make bunk.

Richards: If you are looking to fill up deck five, then five it is.

Sherlock: response

Nilsen: Right, there we go. Deck five, starboard side, section eight, room one. You pretty much get the best views on that side of the ship. You ain’t got that far to walk to the turbo lift, and there's a holodeck and gym there, so not too bad of a spot I think.

Anton couldn’t imagine what a gym could provide that the holosuite could not, luckily he wasn’t big on gyms anyways.

Richards: Sounds perfect, thanks.

Anton glanced towards his chief, trying to judge if he thought the placement was appropriate.

Sherlock: response

Nilsen: so…it will be ready for you by 15:00. If you got luggage waiting for you, we’ll beam it there too.

Anton’s possessions had been in possession of Starfleet since he was assigned to the Thor. After each of his ships incidents, he presumed whatever could be recovered was recovered and whatever was lost was lost.

He still had too many stupid trinkets and either way he was sure his father would send more.

Richards: I’m not sure what of mine has made it over from Thor or the 'Oumuamua. But there’s probably something I’d imagine.

Arlill(optional?)/Sherlock/Nilsen: response

Richards: If by any luck half of the stuff was lost, or maybe accidently shipped to Riza.

Anton pictured his father coming across one of the various gifts he had sent him whilst browsing a random market on a distant planet.

Arlill(optional?)/Sherlock/Nilsen response

Richards: Ah well. You can’t win them all.

Arlill(optional?)/Sherlock/Nilsen response
