Lt.(jg) Dr. Toz: Oh, yes, we are on the Butler

A question Dr. Toz couldn’t answer. What was going on? When NA Wing’s face showed total puzzlement, all Toz could do was look toward the commander.
Rouiancet: (looking at her tricorder) He's mostly back in phase, it looks like. But not entirely? Less than we were, even, since we can still see him, but he can perceive something out of phase with us.
Una: He can still see something out of phase yes... There's something there where he's looking. My modified tri-corder record something else there.
Toz: Are we able to communicate with the Butler? Are we in phase with the ship? I’ve never been so confused in my life. And who's been alone for a long time? We need to help them if we can.
Rouiancet: Other Nilsens, maybe? (beat) And yes, we are back in phase.
She looked to Wing for confirmation, who met her gaze.
NA Wing nodded. She was intimidated but it seemed to be less than it had been. This woman with a head scarf (whatever that was all about) was definitely friendly. Martha relaxed and returned her attention to the monitors.
Una: Yes, I think we're back to normal phase. That's great, since we have enough data to work safely in phase again. Better in phase than out of phase!
Toz: Alright, back to facts. Barney, here, has numerous small scratches on his arms and neck. The dermal regenerator is finishing up repairing them. So I would say he’s back in phase but has had a bad experience.
Then, a definite answer: Ensign Yinn entered Sickbay, and they immediately approached the group.
Una: You must be Yinn! The other one inside Loq... Nice to meet you in other person and in normal phase.
Yinn: Glad you made it back in one piece!
Rouiancet: Yinn, can you see us? And the man on the biobed?
Yinn: Aye sir. You seem to be back. We modified the transporters from engineering and tried to beam one out-of-phase signal to sickbay. I assume that's the man on the biobed. We weren't trying to bring you back, but we seem to have done so. Perhaps when we pull someone out of phase, there's a ripple effect that unphases over a wider area.
Una: That also explains how we went back to phase without the teletransportation beam!
Toz signed in relief, noticing that the commander was doing the same. NA Wing was staring at the monitors with an intensity Toz kind of envied. She returned her attention to Cmdr. Rouiancet.
Rouiancet: That's great. (beat; indicating Barney) We may have rescued one crewmember from the Dow, but he may be from further afield. Una, can you confirm that he's from the Dow based on their manifest? Toz, Wing, is he still slightly out of phase?
Una: Yes , he's from the Unity Dow. I was just checking the roster. Is the other one, that Wilma that I can't find.
Toz: Barney looks like he’s fully with us and I don’t think there was a ‘Wilma’. I’m going to guess that the being he’s talking with is the Wilma that’s interfering with our issues. ::pause:: But now I can give him something to help calm him down. ::pause again:: Can we employ Una’s method to bring the rest of the Dow crew back into phase?

Una: Alright, so how do we want to proceed with that out-of-phase being that our Barney was talking to?
Una had on her padd screen a not so uniform energy reading out of phase.
Yinn: Kovacs and I isolated many, many out-of-phase life signs, more than the Dow's crew complement. But who knows what kind of lifeforms those might be. They might have fallen victim to whatever's happening in this system, or they might be the cause.

Una: I think that I can try to put it back to phase if our Cap want it...
Yinn: We beamed him (indicating the biobed) back into phase as a test, but we should be able to beam multiple targets at once.

Una: Yes security and force fields would be a good precaution indeed!
Yinn: I suggest we set up one in sickbay as a further test, and if successful, we enclose a larger area in one of the cargo bays. And we should be ready to reconfigure the field on a moment's notice if we end up beaming back anything hostile.
Toz: I’ll round up a group of nurses to be ready. Head Nurse Miash is busy somewhere. ::sigh:: I haven’t had time to check on things. But we can call in all off-duty medical.

Yinn: =^=Yinn to Kovacs. I'm in sickbay with the captain. She and her away team are back into phase, and our test was successful. We beamed someone over who seems to be one of the Dow's crew. We're going to set up a containment field here in sickbay and try beaming a few signals at once. Let us know when you're ready on your end. =^=

Yinn: Just give the word, captain.
Toz: NA Wing, you’ll stay here with me and assist. Commander, let’s say that Wilma is the being in the corner, well, ceiling. When everyone returns to phase, she should disappear.
Barney: Go! You’ve got to stop! I can’t take any more!
Having stiffened as if he were a board, Barney suddenly collapsed.
NA Wing: Doctor, our patient has lapsed into a coma. May I suggest glucose? It seems to be a result of trauma.
Toz: Good thinking. Do it.
Martha was scared but she was thinking as she spoke and if she’d thought more about it, she wouldn’t have said anything. Even if the doctor said it first. Administering the medicine, Martha ducked her head hoping she couldn't be seen.
