Arlill: Ok, explain this one to me again? (beat) Henri?

Henri: Of course, just lay still and listen. Here’s a story about a man named… Oh wait, that’s the wrong file… When you were probed by the computer on Alpha Brenkelvi II tiny undetectable nanites were needed to complete the connection. Well… Your modifications to the ship’s computer to mess with Nilsen had some positive benefits.

Arlill: Wait, my modifications did this?!

Henri: ::looking at Toxin with a stern expression: Please, Lieutenant, I have the stage. (beat) Now where was I, oh yes, benefits. Well you integrated the computer with the ship’s LMS and I was born, or created as it were. Once those nanites had established better connections throughout your brain, well, the computer had a way for me to come to life, as it were.

If Toxin's head was spinning before, now it was practically off its axis. This was madness! He couldn't believe what he was hearing. But what his eyes saw, particularly when the nurse walked right through him, confirmed that this wasn't just a casual experience. In some sense, this was real.

Toxin: So no one else can hear you?

Henri: Correct.

Toxin: And what about when we’re away from the ship?

Henri: I’m now a part of your cerebral cortex, I’ve been downloaded into an emergence of your memory and that of the nanites.

Toxin: So I can’t get rid of you?

Henri: Not really, but I’m not here to torture you, if you need alone time, just say so and I’ll go.

Toxin wasn't certain about his next steps. Reporting this might cost him his position, possibly his rank, and even result in him being sent back to Starfleet for studying. He realized he needed to figure this out independently. He was unsure who he could trust, even Lhando was not above suspicion.
