[[ooc: this takes place a few days after Loq and Yinn's stay in sickbay, and Yinn and Zarah planning out the prank happens in between. Just wanted to make sure I got these storylines in before we ran out of shore leave time!]]
((Transporter Room 3, Deck 7, USS Octavia E. Butler))
Qurgh'Loq knew he was not a typical Klingon. It was why he joined Starfleet. Most Klingons wanted to solve every problem by swinging a bat'leth at it, and had no time for diplomacy. Loq strove to be patient, see the big picture, and try to avoid a bloody fight instead of rushing in headlong. Not a traditionally Klingon outlook.
But there was one way in which Loq was very Klingon, which was that he did not enjoy feeling embarrassed. And ending up in sickbay because he got too drunk, slept with a woman he just met, and — most ridiculous of all — ate some leafy vegetables, was tremendously embarrassing.
He'd be happy to put the entire unpleasant incident behind him. Except he couldn't stay away from Yinn. Not because there was a lingering attraction between them, although there was. It was because of the cursed leaves. The Ferengi nurse had been able to reverse the damage to his stomach lining easily enough, but Yinn insisted on keeping him under close observation. She was studying the effects of consuming the leaves, and now he was her case study.
Which meant she had been following him everywhere. And he was obligated to follow her. Which meant travelling with her and her friends to New Bajor to "relax and have fun." And there was nothing relaxing about that woman.
Yinn: There was so much Bajoran food I didn't get to try on Old Bajor, and I know I can just replicate them, but it's not the same!

[ooc: If any other junior officers want to join the field trip, feel free to tag yourself in!]
Loq: I would prefer to stay on the ship.
Yinn: And I'd prefer to work from a beach somewhere instead of the science lab, but we don't always get what we want. You're coming with me, doctor's orders.
She threaded her slender blue fingers through his and tried to tug him in the direction of the transporter pad. Of course, she was very, very weak and could not budge him. He bristled at the thought of her leading him around like a child. And yet feeling her hand against his brought back memories of the night they had spent together, and they were not unpleasant memories. His feelings were complicated, but they were best sorted out with a trusted confidante and a bottle of blood wine, not in front of his fellow officers.
She was correct in one respect, it had been doctor's orders. Dr. Toz had been concerned about any lingering effects the leaves might have had, and did recommend Yinn keep a close eye on them, as she had studied the leaves and they were otherwise unknown to Federation science.
Loq: I will respect Dr. Toz's orders.
He withdrew his hand from hers and took a few steps to the transporter pad.
