((OOC: I made a mistake and started a forth scene, this was my fault, I’ll be fading Lhandon out of this scene. Do remember that this scene is open to anyone!))
((The town centre of New Faren, New Bajor))
He was concerned, something had gone wrong the transport, the reaction of Yinn & Loq said enough to him. Nilsen immediately went of out of shore leave mode.
Nilsen: You folks alright?
Fer’at: Is there a concern?
Nilsen: I think there is. Yinn? Loq? What are you two feeling?
Loq/Yinn: Response
Fer’at: It is more likely a reaction to the transporter. Although most will travel without incident, it is not out of the realm of possibility that such a reaction is related, even if there have been no prior incidents.
Nilsen: That would be logical, but still, we don’t mess with the transporters. I don’t mind being called over-cautious when it comes to them.
There was no outwards signs of anything wrong with the others, but that didn’t mean that Lhandon’s instincts weren’t being set off.
Loq/Yinn: Response
Fer’at: If it would be beneficial, I am certain we can find some place to sit and rest for a moment until you are feeling more…normal.
Loq/Yinn: Response
Nilsen: Yinn, can I borrow your tricorder?
Loq/Yinn/Fer’at: Response
Nilsen: The carrier wave seemed to have arrived as expected. ::Tapping on the Tricorder:: there was something that interrupted for a brief moment. I’m not sure what that is. Any ideas?
He had held out the tricorder in a gesture that was one of hope, a silent plea for a spark of insight, a breakthrough from anyone amongst his companions. He just hoped he appeared like he knew what he was doing.
The carrier wave had been successfully transmitted and received from both ends, but there was something amiss. He hadn't known if it was as Fer’at suggested a reaction to the leaves, or some kind of malfunction, but it would have been irresponsible to leave this to chance, to guesswork or to even procrastinate on it.
Loq/Yinn/Fer’at: Response
Nilsen: I’m going to hang around here, I’ll keep investigating and maybe go back to the ship if need be. If push comes to shove and we have to take them offline, you’ll be able to get back via DS14 or I can come back with the new Foxy Lady. I do need to take her out for a spin, I don’t want her gathering dust. You folks go have fun, and Loq, rain check on that sparing match?
Loq/Yinn/Fer’at: Response
It was operations responsibility to maintain the transporters, and as an assistant chief, even on a day off, sometimes you had to deal with things. He had hoped that it would be a simple fix, nothing to worry about, just a blip in the system that could be ironed out, but he had heard rumors of other transporters in the fleet having weird glitches. But when they were all out in the Gamma Quadrant, those rumors got diluted and mixed up.
