((Lower Aft Cargo Bay, Deck 11, USS Octavia E Butler))

Nilsen: You alright mate?

Richards: Oh. I think I broke my tricorder… by dropping it on the ground just now.

Toxin wasn’t fooled, he was sure something was up with that tricorder, the way Richards threw it like that, but now wasn’t the time to question why but rather what, as in… oOwhat is in this box.Oo

oO Henri: Should look inside the box. Oo

Toxin wasn’t sure if Henri had read his mind or if he, or it, or her?, was genuinely curious. He looked back from Richards towards the box and there stood Henri looking down at the box from beyond it. Henri appeared a bit different each time, at least to Tox because he was the only one who could see him, at this point. This time his hair was a mix of orange and green, he was slightly taller, and his smiled seemed to have grown wider.

Nilsen: It looks that way.

Toxin snapped back into the present, trying to ignore Henri for the emoment.

Richards: So where is this independent bay?

Nilsen: Attached to the OC. I’ve not had a chance to use it yet/ Kinda looking forward to it.

Arlill: No one has lieutenant, it was flagged OC Chief only, I wanted to keep the seal on it as long as possible or at least until an interesting project or case presented itself. (beat) I believe this qualifies.

oO Henri: I’d say! Oo Toxin looked at Henri briefly with a stern look that spoke “shut up” without actually saying it.

Richards: Response

Arlill: It was gifted by Promontory when the ship was in the buildout phase.

Nilsen: I had no idea he threw that in for us. Sweet. Remind me to send him something to say thanks.::beat:: I'll catch up with both you folks in a minute; Mads is investigating this too and I wanna call him to see what he found.

Arlill: ****It’s not ::looking at Richards and then Lhandon:: to become ship wide news, understood?

Richards: Response

Arlill: =/\= Computer, Toxin protocol 118. =/\=

Computer: =/\= Protocol active, you may proceed when ready. =/\=

Arlill: =/\= Transport this case to OPs Room T1. =/\=

An haze appeared around the box, not dissimilar to the patterns they witnessed every day. Toxin was somewhat pleased with himself, this was the first he’d had a chance to play with his new toy and he knew it wouldn’t be the last.

(Independent Bay, Operations Centre Lower Floor, Deck 7, USS Octavia E Butler)

Richards and Toxin had made it to Ops first, Nilsen seemed to have something to go off and do.

The independent bay in was sterile and clean and the lighting was bright.

Richards: Response

Arlill: Welcome back to Ops.

Richards: Response

Arlill: Let’s just say T1 was a name and not the start of a sequence, shall we?

Toxin didn’t need Richards asking how many rooms were setup to receive the transports, or that they’d been, in his mind, stupidly labeled with a “T”.

Nilsen: So I made some calls. Both Chief Petty Officer Ral Shaw of the USS Artemis and Security officer Madison Nilsen, DS9, he's my little brother I mentioned earlier, are certain we've found a smuggling ring. Ral found two crates of contraband, with one meant to come to us. They've since opened those crates. One of those crates were meant to have plasma line decouplers but were empty, the other had fusion power generators when it should have contained EPS control units.

Arlill: Not exactly prime equipment for the black market, most of those items aren’t even classified component designs.

Richards: Response

Nilsen: One of the crates from DS9 to the Artemis should have had empty plasma containers but instead lateral sensor spare parts. ::beat:: but that's not all. They also found in that crate this strange cube device. I've got pictures here. Mads is working that now. He said he’d get back to me when he gets it sorted.

Lhandon showed on his PADD a picture of what appeared to be a simple, unassuming cube..

Arlill: Have Madison send us his scanner readings of that box, I’m curious if it’s composition is similar to the locks in this box.

Richards: response

Nilsen: Yeah, I think this pretty much confirms that we've found a smuggling ring. We've got security here already but is this something you want to escalate, or will that tip off the smugglers? At the moment, only five people know about this; us three, Ral Shaw and Madison. Tox, with that in mind, what's your orders?

Toxin knew protocol would dictate he inform the captain and first officer, basically who he directly reported to, and he assumed both of them weren’t likely the smugglers.

Arlill: I’ll handle the reporting, you three ::realizing he slipped:: you two, rather, work on getting into this crate, but be careful.

Nilsen/Richards: response

Toxin took a moment to look around the room, to see if he could locate Henri. It seemed like a pointless pursuit since Henri wouldn’t physically be in the room, but rather in his head, something he was hoping he wouldn’t permanently need to get used to. He found the now orange haired shorter man leaning over his face merging with the corner of the box as if looking below the surface of the water in a calm lake. Henri must have sensed him.

Arlill: You guys work for a moment, I’m going to send a message.

Just outside the door Toxin quickly scanned the central core of Ops and realized that it was rather empty, there was an ensign on the far side of the room working at a console and a new lieutenant working on the center console.

Arlill: ::quietly:: Henri, you here? ::Henri Appeared::

oO Henri: Yeah, quit yelling ::he smirked:: I know what you’re going to ask, I looked and didn’t see much, but I’m still understanding my capabilities. I think I can tie into the sensors, but I’m not yet skilled enough to do so without triggering an alarm. Oo

Arlill: ::quiet still:: Good, let’s not go giving your presence away. (beat) =/\= Toxin to Promontory, we have a level2 event in Ops, I’m tracking but sending details via secure message. Toxin out. =/\=

((ooc: If Avander want to make an appearance feel free.))

Toxin knew that Avander being from intelligence just saying level 2 event he’d immediately understand it was under control and not yet a threat to the ship. Avander had given Toxin a small class in intelligence protocols before they departed with the OEB, he’d quasi-officially, off the record of course, made Toxin his Intelligence Deputy in charge of Operations Support. No, it didn’t mean Toxin was suddenly privy to a bunch of classified information but rather he was given the general schematics around the intelligence suite needs to ensure it remained operational.

Toxin turned and returned into the T1 suite and listened to the two officers carry on for a moment.
