(( USS Ardent, Main Sickbay ))

Lahl had never been involved in reversing the polarity of chronitons, but that was what they were going to try to do here in the Main Sickbay of an Einstein class ship. Hopefully they were going to be able to do something with that.

Lahl: Guess there is a first time for everything.

Boran: We've got this.

Boran: That said, Captain, Commander... where do we start? Option one with the beds, or option two with the grid?

Kimonzi looked to the Captain, waiting for her to come to a decision.

JoNz: Let's go for the power grid, reverse it all as a whole.

Lahl: Aye sir.

The Trill got down on one knee and opened up her engineering kit. Inside was a motley assortment of various tools that would hopefully get them to a reversed chroniton field.

Lahl: Ready Ensign Boran?

Boran: Response

Kimonzi nodded and got to work on the various power grid conduits. Her spanner cranked, the ratchet clicking as she popped the bolts holding the panels on the wall out of their sockets. As she looked, the bolts were much older than they should have been, more evidence of the deterioration happening around the ship.

After the panels were out, she worked with Ensign Boran to get the various emitters, sensors, and screens to knock the chronitons into reverse position.

Lahl: Ok, what next?

Boran: Response

JoNz: Steady and ready over here.

Kimonzi nodded at Boran.

Lahl: Ensign Boran, it was your idea, so you get to flip the switch.

Boran: Response

Lahl watched as the young ensign metaphorically flipped the switch. As it happened, she flipped opened her tricorder and looked at the screen, hoping something was happening with the chronitons.

Lahl: Ok…we’re getting some reversal…

Boran/JoNz: Response

She nodded at the other two, watching to see if anything noticeable changed in the area around her. As she did so, though, she heard a massive groan that pierced through the noise cancellation in her EVA suit’s speakers.

Lahl: Uh…Ensign Boran, did you hear that?

Boran/JoNz: Response

Lahl: We may not have much more time…unless that was from our reversal of the chronitons.

Boran/JoNz: Response
