Lieutenant Anton Richards - A talk of weaponry

Aine stopped in the middle of the corridor and turned to look at Richards.
Sherlock: Exactly. We all know what we have to do, but they feel it's their job to remind everyone.
There was a moment's pause before Anton and Sherlock proceeded down the corridor.
Sherlock: I see that you previously served on the Thor. Have you been on one of these newer ships?
Anton had been following the release of the Sagan cruisers, but he’d only read about them and seen projections.
Richards: No this is my first time. I hear there are some pretty big upgrades and like a hundred phasers!
One hundred phasers was a bit of an exaggeration.
Anton glanced around, presumably gathering some insight of said upgrades from the corridor trims.
Sherlock: It's something else. The computer's fast. We have these site-to-site transporter arches in some of the doorways for quick response. Oh, and we're transitioning to new individual weapons. We've got them in the armory, but Security will be the first issued them.
This comment caught Anton’s attention. He always liked playing around with new weapons and the like.
Richards: Wouldn’t want those Ops guys getting ahold of them first, right?
Sherlock: Simplifying the transition. The new phasers are pure weapons, less tools. We need to be careful and make sure the rest of the crew goes through training with them. Maybe you could lead the class?
Sherlock stopped and turned towards Anton.
Anton was surprised that he was being asked to lead something so quickly. He found this to be slightly odd. But he wasn’t going to decline the first task assigned to him by his superior.
Richards: I…suppose I could put together some form of training session, if you’re sure that I’d be a good choice.
Sherlock: Response.
Richards: On account of my just arriving and all. Maybe the crew would respond better to someone they’ve seen aboard.
Anton pictured all the different training scenarios he could make, he also wondered how the weapons functioned under water.
Sherlock: Response.
Richards: Of course, Sir.
Anton proceeded down the corridors, and as much as he had tried to map out their movements with what he had studied on his PADD, he was now simply following his new Chief to their destination.
Sherlock: Response?
