((Lower Aft Cargo Bay, Deck 11, USS Octavia E Butler))

Toxin had left sickbay and was looking for his second in command of the OC, because he wasn’t at his post, so he only assumed that he had to be working elsewhere.

oO Henri: Isn’t he supposed to stay in the OC, why does he leave and not send other ops personnel? Oo

Toxin: I’m not sure ::an officer passed him in the hallway and gave him an odd look:: now be quiet, they’re going to think I’m nuts!

He walked into the lower aft cargo bay and saw two gold officers around a nearby crate, one was so tall he could only presume it to be Lhandon.

Nilsen: You gotta teach me how to do that. How ya do that? Since when have tricorders been aggressive.

Richards: Response

Walking over to them.

Nilsen: Sup Tox, you’re meant to be in sick bay?

Arlill: No need, I’m not sick, what are you up to?

Richards: Response

Nilsen: We got ourselves a mystery crate, our scanners can’t get through it, my codes don’t work on it, brute force won’t work. But Richards here just did a magic trick with a tricorder.

Arlill: Above board I hope ::eyeing the security officer:: I don’t need to be called to the principal’s office on Nilsen’s account.

Richards: Response

Nilsen: That trick did something, I’m getting a slightly clearer image. There’s just one problem, while that was brilliant Anton, it’s got two more locks.

Now Toxin was curious himself, he almost wanted to pull these two back and have the internal sensors attempt a more thorough analysis of the box, but before he could recommend it.

Richards: Response

Nilsen: But…I wonder, Computer scan the contents of this crate

Computer: ::dryly:: Oh sure, because I've had so much luck scanning this crate so far. I'll just give it another try, shall I?

Nilsen: Please.

Computer: The contents of this crate include a quantum flux regulator, a subatomic particle integrator, and a tachyon field generator.

Nilsen: What that make? Part of a transporter? A replicator? I’ve got my own quantum flux regulator, they’re as common as a 21st century screwdriver, but the other two? I can’t see the connection

Arlill: ::eyeballing the JG:: That flux better not be from inventory… (beat) We need to get this open, I’ll take responsibility and issue an order for you two to get into it. I’m still skeptical if that’s what’s really inside.

Nilsen/Richards: response

Arlill: If you have to, move the crate to an independent lab, we don’t need any surprises.

Nilsen/Richards: response

Arlill: I’m not going anywhere, I’m curious about this as well.
