Toxin and Henri recently discovered that Henri was not just a voice in Toxin's head that no one else could hear. He was much more. After Toxin spilled hot chocolate on his uniform, the pain was intense. Henri found that he could not switch off, but could numb certain nerve endings. They were unsure if this effect was temporary or permanent, which left Toxin both worried and fascinated.

The pain he had been feeling on his legs and, well, other areas was suddenly gone. He poked at the purple and couldn’t feel anything. Panic set in.

Toxin: WHAT DID YOU DO?!

oO Henri: I’m not fully certain, I sensed a nerve cluster that had a lot of activity and just decided to ignore it, I guess? Oo

Toxin: Well whatever you did, it worked, and that’s (beat) that’s f&*##g awesome.

Toxin wasn’t one to swear, he found it not vulgar but not necessary, but in this instance, it just felt right, and Henri didn’t seem to disagree.

Toxin: Ok, let’s hold off on experimenting too much, at least until we figure this out a little.

oO Henri: Agreed. (beat) Would you like me to run a scan of you? Oo

Toxin: I would, but how?

oO Henri: I’m not sure, but I can feel the ship’s computer, maybe something about having been created by the new AI on the ship? I don’t think I could control it, but I may be able to speak to it. Oo

Toxin was totally capable of asking the computer to run a scan of him, but he was concerned this might trigger a log somewhere to alert someone. Thinking quickly he made for his auxiliary ops tool kit and went to the wall near the door to his quarters. Ripping off the panel, he used his tricorder and trusty ODN recoupler to disconnect the internal sensors from the logging optical relay.

Toxin: Ok, that should shield us from curious people (beat) Like Lhandon ::he said aloud::

oO Henri: Who’s Lhandon? Oo

Toxin: He’s my bes… he’s my old room mate and second in Operations.

oO Henri: Wouldn’t he want to help? Oo

Toxin: Nah, he’s a bit protective, he might be too concerned to keep this between us. (beat) see if you can ask the computer to run the scan (beat) We can kill two birds with one stone.

oO Henri: I’m not sure what birds have to do with anything, but I’ll give it a try. Oo

A moment later and nothing happened, Toxin wasn’t surprised, he’d hoped for a lot but should have set his expectations…

oO Henri: It worked! Oo

Toxin: It did?!

oO Henri: Yeah, I the computer to silently run the scan and it did! Oo

Toxin: What about authorization?

oO Henri: I hope you don’t mind, I used yours and it accepted it. Oo

This was a little bothersome for Toxin, but he was excited to see this work!

oO Henri: The results are coming in, they’re quite fas…(pausing abruptly)Oo

Toxin: What? What do they say???

oO Henri: Ummm, it looks like I might be here for a while. Oo
