(( Promenade, Deep Space 14 ))
Teddy had been eager to take advantage of shore leave, but his duty shift rotation hadn't allowed him to visit the Dyson Ring until now. With the ship docked at DS14, he finally had a few days of shore leave—and he was determined to make the most of them. He’d invited a new transfer along that he’d become good friends with named Link Jensen, another Marine Private.
The two of them had arrived at DS14 via transport and now strolled down the open promenade looking for a bite to eat.
O’Reilly: It’s nice to get off ship.
Jensen: Response
As Link responded a shorter girl, maybe the same age as Link and Teddy brushed by excusing herself.
O’Reilly: Busy place I guess. (beat) Where should we eat?
Jensen: Response
O’Reilly: I’m good with something simple, I try not to get too fancy with my foods, simpler that way.
Jensen: Response
O’Reilly: Sure, they might have burgers over at that cafe ::pointing::
The two large marines made their way towards the cafe, their eyes scanning the bustling promenade. As they approached, Teddy noticed two aliens of similar height but with considerably more muscle mass. Despite his own impressive stature, Teddy realized these newcomers might just give him a run for his money in terms of physical presence. He paid little attention of them as they were in a safe Starfleet controlled station and he wasn’t in a tactical mind set, if it weren’t for their distracted nature he might have left it alone.
As the aliens brushed by them one of them ran into Teddy.
O’Reilly: Excuse me. (beat) Where do you think they’re rushing off to?
Jensen: Response
