After ensuring that the reactors were stable enough for Kaelith, and nothing was going to go ka-boom. Everyone could have a proper discussion with AI and learn more about him and the planet, including learning more about his creators. 

Forsyth: What other races do you know, might help narrow it down?  

And could help update some of their information, although Alex still believes that the Dominion might be responsible, as they did control a large portion of the Gamma Quadrant back in the day.      

Enak: It’s possible that the races Kaelith knows have passed on.

That might also be true and unfortunate. Alex wondered if future civilizations might unearth the Federation and current life.

Riley: Interesting, and how long ago did you say that was?

Alex nodded along as she took some notes; if it was anything like history class at college, then she might nod off, although Kaelith seemed more interesting than Mr Bartholow even was.  

The tactical officer was not sure if any of it was useful. She knew that Commander Katsim and someone in the Starfleet Science Division would get a kick out of it.

Enak: Well, that’s a good point. Can you tell us what races you’re not allowed to talk about?

She gave Enak a puzzling look and was not sure if he was asking a trick question to test the AI's intelligence or just mixed up his words.  

Forsyth: Um, don’t you mean one he allowed to talk about?

Arlill / Kaelith / Jonz: Response

Enak: It was worth a question.

Riley: I don’t necessarily agree that it was the Dominion, because the timeline doesn’t seem correct. Admittedly, my knowledge of this particular sector is limited, but none of the major Dominion conflicts in recent memory stretched out this far.

Forsyth: There are not really any other races that are old, at least not in GQ. 

Alex was not super familiar with every race of the Gamma quadrant, besides the ones she encountered anyway. Kaelith could be really helpful in filling in the blanks on the Federation's knowledge, and maybe give them a better understanding of the region as a whole.

Riley: I’m not saying it couldn’t have happened, just that it’s probable that the Dominion wasn’t the culprit.

Forsyth: All I know is that they've been around long before the Federation was thought of in President Archer's mind, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are that old.

She knew that there had been many races that had come and gone before there were even trilobites on Earth, which was a scary thing to think about.

If it was not the Dominion, then who or what attacked the Befores and destroyed them.

Alex at least hoped that was the case; anything was possible.
