The last few weeks -I think it’s only been weeks- have been a bit upsetting and satisfying at the same time. The nursing staff worked overtime to set things right. Well, as right as they could. Hallucinations, crew getting lost then found in two pieces… Uh, Split in two. No, not quite. For instance, our counselor, Karen Stendhal, ended up being two people. One biting our neurosurgeon and the other being very passive. A phase development caused the issue and another phase development put things to right. All in all, things are okay.

I’m going to take a bit of leave and visit DS14. It should be fun. There’s an arboretum there with trees. Bushes, flowers, and maybe a lake with a boat for paddling around. Now, that would be relaxing.! Put an exclamation point on that last sentence, please.

Computer: Exclamation point in place

I’ve requested an additional five nurses but I think I can do with three. Yes, three will be good. Five would be better and I don’t want the XO knowing about that. I expect Nurse Aid Wing will return as a Nurse rather than an Aid. She shows promise. I’m wondering if Head Nurse Miash has aspirations toward becoming a doctor. Well, I could ask her, I suppose. Maybe she’ll just volunteer the information during a conversation. Say, in the mess -Writers Room. 

One last thing to record. 

Toz: Computer halt recording.

Computer: Recording paused.

Getting to her feet, leaning on the desk as her muscles unwrinkled themselves, Toz made her way to the small replicator. She stood there, wondering if she should have iced tea or hot tea. Quite a dilemma. Hot… Cold… Shrugging, she decided it didn’t make much difference. She liked both. Checked with her body which claimed it wasn’t overly heated but could use something cold, Toz nodded to herself.

Toz: Tea, iced with two ice cubes.

The tea was delivered in swift order and Toz returned to her log.

Toz: Computer, resume log

The last thing I need to mention is Barney Nilsen. He’s been released from medical and with Captain Rouiancet -she’s in charge of the ship and is therefore the captain- well, with her and the XO’s influence, Barney was able to talk with his cousin -indeed, they are cousins- before being returned to the Unity Dow.
