((OOC: Erik, I’ve left an optional tag at the end if you want back in after your scene.))
((Operations Center, Deck 7, USS Octavia E. Butler))
Once again, the computer of the OEB had had a disagreement with Nilsen, and of course, it was all the OEB's fault.
Computer: "Perhaps if you were more specific, I could assist you. After all, I am a computer, not a mind reader."
o0 Mind read this you…0o
He then felt a tap on the shoulder and turned to see Sherlock standing there, looking rather happy with herself.
Sherlock: Hey, stop fighting it. The computer's there to help.
Alongside Sherlock was another officer. Nilsen had an idea who this was, as there had been a bit of a shuffle and the OEB had gained a few new officers during the past week or so.
Lhandon had a little laugh.
Nilsen: I want to. But I swear she’s hate me. What can I do you sir?
Sherlock: New officer, needs quarters.
Nilsen: Richards right? Anton? Yeah I got you. Figured you’d be coming by.
Richards: response
He thought about making a joke about the leaves that he had to eat back on the mines of Chey’d and how he can now read minds but he wondered if that would be in good taste.
He started to tap on the console and brought up a holographic image of the ship and then that quickly expanded to a deck layout.
Nilsen: Right so, we can either squeeze you into deck four, or if you don’t want to be next to the warp field governors, we’ve got more open rooms on deck 5, I do need to keep filling that deck up. I’m guessing you don’t want the speech about the OC, what it can do and all that. ::smiles::
Lhandon if anything was proud of the OC and the work he was doing in ops.
Sherlock/Richards: response
He worked quickly on the holographic map, picking out the room. Anyone with half a brain could see that Lhandon had a system going; the rooms seemed to start from a single point and spawn outwards. They were set out in a route that made it easier for ops staff to prepare and clean a room. He had finished the inner rooms of the saucer section and was working on the outer rooms.
Nilsen: Right, there we go. Deck five, starboard side, section eight, room one. You pretty much get the best views on that side of the ship. You ain’t got that far to walk to the turbo lift, and there's a holodeck and gym there, so not too bad of a spot I think
Sherlock/Richards: response
Nilsen: so…it will be ready for you by 15:00. If you got luggage waiting for you, we’ll beam it there too.
Lhandon's wounds from the last mission had healed quickly, but his face still hosted a large, stubborn bruise next to his left eye that was impossible to miss. However, he didn't show any signs of pain. If anything, it made his muscular frame look tougher, and he wondered if that had made him more attractive to the engineer he liked.
Arlill(optional)/Sherlock/Richards: response
He had thought he should have asked about Tox. He had wondered how to phrase the question, "Was everything alright with Tox?" Tox had certainly been under a lot of stress, and Lhandon had hoped he had done right by him, being there for him and taking tasks off him when he wasn't looking so that it was one less thing for him to worry about. After all, they were brothers from another mother, and he would always have been there for him to repay him for the countless times Tox stood with him.
