(( Operations Canter, Deck 7, USS Octavia E. Butler ))

Lhandon was proud of the OC; it held significance for him. He couldn't identify exactly what it was, but perhaps his involvement in Project FORT, the task force ultimately responsible for the refit of operations departments across the fleet, suggested his commitment for the long haul and he hoped showed Etan that he was a capable officer.

He just had to remember that not everyone wanted a speech.

Sherlock had just introduced him to Lt Anton Richards, and Nilsen immediately got a good vibe from the man. A devilish thought crossed his mind; since Tyber had been reassigned, he no longer had his contact in the security department, that friendly face who was always ready to "lend a hand" to the Operations department.

That's not to say that Nilsen had been bending or even breaking the rules, far from it, but having such an officer on speed dial could help move things with a little more efficiency every now and then.

Richards: I’m not sure what of mine has made it over from Thor or the 'Oumuamua. But there’s probably something I’d imagine.

Sherlock: There should be a chain of custody going back to the Thor. ::looking back to Richards:: We should be able to track everything down.

Nilsen: That there is. You name it, I’ll be able to find it.

Arlill(optional?): response

Richards: If by any luck half of the stuff was lost, or maybe accidently shipped to Riza.

Sherlock: If anything is ::beat:: misplaced, we'll make sure it's reimbursed for.

Nilsen That it will be. I think I’ve got everything. Though, I think.

Lhandon loaded up a PADD and handed it over to Richards. Displayed on it was one item that was missing. He thought it had been sensible to put that item's listing on the PADD, so as not to broadcast what possessions Richards had lost.

Nilsen: Does that mean anything to you?

Arlill(optional?):

Richards: Ah well. You can’t win them all.

Nilsen I’ll get started on the reimbursement request. Make sure you check your inbox. Aside from that, we’re all set.

Arlill(optional?)

Sherlock: Anyways, I'm sure you will be working together in the future. We try to keep things tight on the ship, we've got a lot of classified equipment on-board.

Nilsen: It was great to meet you, sir.

Lhandon held out his hand.

Richards: response

Sherlock: Good. So, Mister Richards, should I show you to Sickbay? Get your medical out of the way so we can get you on the rotation?

Richards: response

Nilsen: Have a great day sirs.

He meant that, whenever he says it, he means it.

But someone in the Operations Centre didn't seem to be having a great day. After Sherlock and Richards had left, he joined Toxin at the centre console, PADD in one hand, his spare hand on Arlill’s shoulder.

Nilsen: You alright?

Arlill: Response

He couldn’t place it, but there was something off.

[End scene for Nilsen.]
