S’vyak followed the others as they proceeded with their “shopping”. An odd cultural phenomenon that involved browsing for items and goods, usually ones which served no purpose or filled no need. It was highly illogical, S'vyak thought.

But not nearly as illogical as it would be for him to leave the shop without the bajorean trinket he was now holding in his hand. To leave without would be crazy as there was no telling when the next one would become available for purchase.

Nis: So tell us about Caitian fashion.

JoNz: Caitian clothing, for the most part, is traditional. Tunic smocks are the go-to for men, women and older children starting about the age of 12 or so. Some smocks are plain, while others sport tribal designs. The same goes for jewelry; some accessorize, other Caitians prefer not to. I admit, I've only worn a smock on the rare occasion.

S’vyak listened to the group speak, and within a moment he had found another interesting item, a small green orb. It didn’t serve any purpose whatsoever, but the price was so… reasonable, that if he didn’t gather the item now, surely the next time he saw such an orb it would be twice the price. He picked up the small orb.

Meditation might prove to be a good tool for training discipline, but “shopping” was the ultimate test.

S'vyak: Intriguing.

Any: response

JoNz: ::waves a paw as she talks:: With that said, there have been other fashion influences as well. Earth, Bajor, Vulcan. Even some Klingon fashion has crept into the Caitian manufactures.

Nis: That’s super interesting.

S'vyak: Indeed.

Any: response

Nis: These days Bajoran fashion seems to be making a comeback. Maybe Caitians will have their day in the sun next. :: distracted by a jacket behind the counter :: Ooooh, we love that jacket. Can we try it on?

Salesperson: Ehhhhh, that one -- :: shaking her head :: There’s something about your vibe that doesn’t live up to it.

S’vyak didn’t let on that he somewhat agreed with the Saleperson, logically speaking, he would be much more suited for the jacket.

Nis: Um … excuse us?

Salesperson: :: leaning in :: Look, it’s not -you-, really. :: pointing to the other crew members :: It’s them.

JoNz didn't share S’vyak’s sentiment and opted for a growl-like noise in response. S’vyak turned towards the shopkeep.

S'vyak: If my instincts haven’t betrayed me, I believe you may have insulted one of your customers.

He raised an eyebrow.

Any: response

Nis: :: grabbing the jacket :: -We- will decide on our own whether our vibe lives up to your coat or exceeds it.

S’vyak, whose attention had now been pulled towards four or five logically sound items, gathered them quickly before turning back to the group, eyebrows once again raised.

Nis: What’s this?

JoNz: (slight purr) That note is not something that happens everyday.

The note had the word “HELP” scribbled upon it. S’vyak’s eyebrows remained cautiously raised.

Rouiancet: (nodding to each) Jania, Kansz, S'vyak. (faux pep) What an interesting find! (to salesperson) Do you know anything about it?

Salesperson: I already told her that jacket doesn't suit her.

The clerk turned away aggressively and S’vyak faced the group and lowered his voice.

S'vyak: ::hushed:: Perhaps the note was meant for someone else?

Nis/JoNz/Any: Responses

Rouiancet: Well, then. Maybe it's a mystery?

Salesperson: (back still turned) Are you going to buy it or not?

S’vyak looked towards the group once more, his curiosity turning into a reserved concern for the clerks' well-being.

S'vyak: ::hushed:: Perhaps it was from the clerk?

Nis/JoNz/Any: Responses

S’vyak approached the shopkeep with his handful of items in hand.

S’vyak: I’d like to purchase these, would that be alright?

He eyed the shopkeep to analyse his reaction.

Nis/JoNz/Rouiancet/Salesperson/Any: Responses

His concern was growing deeper now, as he paid for his items and approached the group posing a question.

S’vyak: It would be appropriate to offer our assistance, would it not?

Nis/JoNz/Rouiancet/Salesperson/Any: Responses

S’vyak: Very well.

Nis/JoNz/Rouiancet/Salesperson/Any: Responses
