(( Sickbay, Deck 5, USS Octavia E. Butler ))
The OEB had intercepted the Unity on it’s way to DS14 and recovered the away team. They now were on the mend, at least most of them, in Sickbay.
Nilsen: We stared death in the face and told it to go do one. Treat Sh’shelor first. The Lieutenant got messed up. She took down like 200 of them nodes down herself. Tox you there?
Miash: Thank you dear, let me do the medical triaging, but I do appreciate your help darling.
Toxin hadn’t spent much time with the nurse, outside of sickbay, so he’d had little time to get to know the Ferengi head nurse, but was impressed how she handled herself.
Sh’shelor/Caras/Nis: Response
Nilsen: Get over there, Mo. ::winces in pain:: You’re messed up too.
Morro wasn’t given a choice in the matter; Lhandon took Morro over to the second bed. Perhaps ignoring the medical staff here who at this point, might be trying to herd the 6'4 ripped rugby player, assistant chief of operations into place.
Sh’shelor/Caras/Nis: Response
Nilsen: No, no, Ensign, I’m good. I can ::out of breath:: I can walk this off. I've had worse. I gotta get back to the Dow. They need all the help that can get there.
Miash: I’m not going to say it again dear, you need to lie down.
Toxin had known Lhandon long enough to pay close attention when he was hurt, as Lhandon would undoubtedly try to avoid treatment and act tough. However, it was hard to miss the blood coming from his mouth and nose.
Arlill: Lhandon, maybe you should listen to her. (Beat) We all need to take a beat.
Nilsen/Sh’shelor/Caras/Nis: Response
Miash: :: looking a tricorder :: Looks like a round of Hyronalyn might be on today’s menu.
Miash moved over to the cart as the team’s conversation continued.
Arlill: Did anyone else notice anything weird before we left the Unity?
Nilsen/Sh’shelor/Caras/Nis: Response
Toxin didn’t want to get anyone worked up but he also couldn’t know if the node he saw was another hallucination or was physically there, which meant the Unity might not be completely out of danger. But he chose not to get them worked up, they had enough to worry about with their recovery.
Arlill: Nevermind I’m sure it was my imagination recovering from the hallucinations
Nilsen/Sh’shelor/Caras/Nis: Response
Arlill: What’s next? (beat) You’re all ordered to rest and relaxation, I’ll see to that!
Toxin was indeed determined to ensure the away team took a few days of rest before returning to duty. Although he wasn’t sure where the OEB was headed next, he was committed to this plan.
