LTJG Lhandon Joseph Nilsen - I Forgot To Tell You

Nilsen: I knight thee, oh holy Captain. You are captain now. (beat) commander.
There was smiles all around. The air was light.
Rouiancet: (a grin) The nearest admiral is going to track you down for giving unofficial promotions and beat you into the deck with an ion mallet. (beat; more serious) I appreciate it, though, truly. This has been a weird series of events.
Whatever that admiral did could not have been worse than the nightmare that was Commander Norton, someone who had most certainly set a very weird series of events into motion for him. For Lhandon, his own series of events had been chaotic. Only then, with that crew, had he experienced the first bit of stability since joining Starfleet as a cadet. He had a criminal record of minor crimes including graffiti, trespassing, and joyriding, from which he had managed to wriggle out.
Rouiancet: I don't think I've stopped to realize that, actually. How weird my path to command has been, I mean.
Nilsen: Is there ever a normal path to command though?
Rouiancet: I appreciate that you made me slow down and see it, too.
His hunch had been right, she had needed to take some time away from work, and so had he. His time in the Kings Path mine seemed to have affected him subconsciously. Of course, he had remained serious about his work and his duty, but that didn't mean he couldn't take the time to enjoy the things in life. Ever since he had gotten out of the mine, food had tasted much better.
Nilsen: I'm glad about that. I've…yeah, I've needed to do that. I guess you've got to get back soon?
Rouiancet: No, actually. I don't have anywhere to be at all. (looking around) Have you found anywhere else you think is worth a visit?
Nilsen: So, holdodeck is boring, everywhere has one and we’ve done food for now….How about…I know, the arcade. I know the owner, he's got some old, like 300 year old games in there.
Then his thought process stopped, as something came to his mind, and he was a bundle of energy as he seemed to bounce off the bulkheads.
Nilsen: I haven’t caught you up on this yet, I got a boyfriend now. He’s Eli Kovacs, he’s down in engineering.
Yet, if Eli had been asked, he would have just said that they were dating, and not there yet. So much for taking it slow. Lhandon truly believed that they had made it official after the picnic in the arboretum.
Rouiancet: Response
Nilsen: We met on that Alpha Brenkelvi mission when he worked in ops for a little bit, then we got chatting and I asked him for a date and we kinda went from there.
