((Unknown Street, I-Kiyo Dyson Ring))

Herrick: ::checking the map:: We’re about five minutes away now.

The trio continued to follow the directions on the PADD, they passed several shops and a handful more of street vendors before they had finally arrived at their destination.

Anton peered upwards examining the many floors of the tall building standing in front of them as well as the printed alien language on the sign that seemed to indicate the name of the entity.

Lahl: Alright, is this the place?

Herrick: Seems to be… ::looking at the alien language on the front of the building:: At least according to the PADD navigation.

Richards: ::whistling:: It looks pretty official.

Each of the party took a moment to inspect the surroundings. The surrounding area had a campus-like feel to it and it vaguely reminded him of Starfleet Academy. This didn’t feel to Anton like the type of place that would produce an ambush.

Lahl: Well, nothing looks too out of place at the moment. What do you guys think?

Herrick: (nodding) Nothing feels off, but that’s not too scientific.

Richards: Only one way to find out.

Lahl: I guess we should ask around?

As she spoke Anton noticed that they were being approached.

Richards: I don’t think that we’ll have to.

The woman that approached did so elegantly, it made Anton especially regret not finding a change of clothes before heading this way. The woman’s skin was purple and her dress was made up of petals that appeared to be natural from the surrounding gardens.

Unlike the others that they had encountered so far when this woman spoke she did so perfectly in Federation Standard.

Tr’ac’i 42: Hello and welcome to the department of Public Works. I am Tr’ac’i. You’ve arrived at the Counsel of Public Works for I-Kiyo.

She paused for a moment, and her eyes seemed to light up for a fraction as she took each of them again.

Tr’ac’i 42: You were expected tomorrow. Is there something wrong with the arrangements that were provided?

Anton looked back and forth between Lahl and Herrick. He hadn’t been expecting their trip to be so “official”.

Richards: I... I don’t think so. We were just taking a look around, the gardens ::gesturing around:: are very nice.

Lahl: Response

Herrick: ::smiling:: Exactly. We Starfleet-types just like to see what’s up and get our minds working on the problem faster.

Tr’ac’i 42: (frowning) As you may not be aware of our customs, I’ll let you know that we are very precise when it comes to scheduling. Early or late arrivals should be communicated in advance. ::eyes flickering:: The individuals you were to meet with have already departed for the day.

Anton looked towards Herrick and Lahl and attempted to hold back a grin. He leaned over Herrick’s shoulder as if he was double checking the appointment time on his PADD before looking back towards Herrick.

Richards: Oh…

Lahl: Response

Herrick:  (with an apologetic smile) You’re right. We will be back tomorrow morning at the prescribed time. Thank you for your understanding.

Anton watched as an automated transport vehicle pulled up beside the group.

Tr’ac’i 42: ::motioning to the vehicle:: This transport will take you to your accommodations.

Richards: Thank you. ::smiling::

Lahl: Response

Anton briefly wondered to himself how he managed to just fall into situations like this all the time. Perhaps he was more like his father than he would like to admit. He took a deep breath and decided to throw all precaution to the wind as he sat himself inside the transport along with the others.

The doors closed with a slight hiss.

Herrick: Well, I guess we’ll get a chance to see I-Kiyoan luxury a bit earlier than we anticipated. What d'yall make of that?

Richards: They weren’t kidding about scheduling, that whole encounter with the way this transport pulled up.

Anton tapped the wall of the transport closest to him.

Richards: It happened all in a very timely fashion did it not?

Herrick/Lahl: Response

Anton looked out the window of the transport as the group was taken to their new automatically determined destination. He presumed that they were right on schedule.

Richards: We will have to make sure we show up on time tomorrow. If we have a choice in the matter.

Herrick/Lahl: Response

He glanced down towards his dirty and grease stained uniform.

Richards: That should give me time to find a change of clothes.

Herrick/Lahl: Response
