(( Gymnasium, Deck 5, Octavia E Butler ))
After the last mission, dealing with Henri, who was now silent for going on 8 hours, and then the hot/cold moments he and Lhandon had shared, Toxin felt it was time to do something he hated, burn off the anger in the gym. It seemed like a sound plan until the gym doors opened and his frustrations continued.
Nilsen: Hold it up
There stood Lhandon throwing on his gloves. For a moment Toxin felt inclined to talk to his old friend, but then his anger bubbled up and he turned and left.
Teddy grew restless after only three hours away from the gym. His body craved exercise, compelling him to return for another workout. As he rounded the corner, he spotted an officer with a blue complexion walking out, wearing a gold workout shirt—undoubtedly Lieutenant Arlill. Another officer, First Lieutenant Maxwell, entered the gym just ahead of him.
Maxwell/Any: Response
O’Reilly: Hey brother (beat) L-T, mind if I join you guys?
Teddy could feel that Lhandon wasn’t in the mood for company, which made him want to join them even more.
Nilsen: How the hell could he? ::punches bag:: I stood by him all this time. He’s just gone and thrown it all away!
Teddy wasn’t sure what Lhandon was running on about so he silently started some stretches.
Maxwell/Any: Response
Once again, he pummeled the bag. He put his full force into it.
Nilsen: Toxin has! Everything we had build in ops. ::Punches bag:: Everything we had together ::punches again:: He’s just thrown it away ::Punches repeatedly::
oO Now that explains why Lt. Arlill left so quickly. Oo
O’Reilly: I think I saw him in the hall just now.
It was obvious to Teddy that Nilsen had something to get out and wasn’t interested in Teddy’s updates, so he continued stretches.
Maxwell/Any: Response
Nilsen: How dare I have thoughts of my own? ::punches bag:: How dare I use my initiative? ::punches bag again::
Maxwell/Any: Response
Nilsen: And you know the worst part? ::punches bag:: Doing this right now ::punches bag:: to get it out of myself ::punches again:: I’m proving his damn point.
O’Reilly: Are you Lhando? Don’t you think he’s being a little stubborn from what I’ve heard?
Maxwell/Any: Response
Teddy noticed others watching. Normally, he didn't care what people thought, but he'd gotten to know Lhandon recently. Lhandon seemed different—like he usually cared more about those observing eyes.
O’Reilly: What happened between you two?
Nilsen/Maxwell/Any: Response
Teddy picked up some dumbells and started doing curls.
O’Reilly: You don’t have to share but…this seems so big. Never seen you like this.
Nilsen/Maxwell/Any: Response
O’Reilly: What do you think caused it?
Teddy hated gossip, but it was obvious Lhando wanted to get this out.
