Richards: So what else can you tell me about the ship?

Sherlock: ::entering the turbolift:: Deck 8. ::turning to Richards as the computer confirmed and closed the door:: Well, she's brand new. State of the art. And fast. There's a lot more automation due to the integration of Borg technology.

Anton had been reading about the ship's upgraded features, not to mention that everyone seemed pretty excited about them.

Richards: Yeah. People are still guessing at how big the improvements are going to be in the long run.

Sherlock: The computer is a good example. Some of the hardware is classified and only a few on the ship are even allowed to look at it and repair it. How much faster than the last bio-isolinear systems? Classified ::beat:: but it's a lot. And its predictive simulations are amazing. I had it run  one and it did it twenty-five hundred times in four minutes.

Anton liked the idea of all the new systems and hardware. He didn’t really understand why Starfleet would have a need to classify all that information, but he supposed they must have their reasons.

Richards: Yeah. She seems powerful.

Sherlock: Leaves little room for error, that's for sure. We haven't had to use it in battle yet, but I'm guessing it'll give us quite the edge with maneuvering and firing solutions.

Richards: It’s just a tiny bit Ironic, integrating the Borg technology.

Sherlock: Response

Anton pulled out his best Borg voice, although it kind of sounded more like the ship's computer had a bit of a cold.

Richards: ::robotic voice:: Integration is futile.

Except for it wasn’t. It was the exact opposite. Everything appeared to be… functional, and even though Anton felt at any moment some mechanical arm might sneak out of the ship’s wall and attempt to assimilate him, he didn’t really think that it would.

Richards: Probably a good thing all of Starfleet wasn’t assimilated. We do have an apparent knack for integration.

Sherlock: Response.

Richards: Hah. It’s a little bit creepy, we might just be better at it than them.

Sherlock: Response.
