(( Turbolift En Route to Bridge, USS Octavia E. Butler ))

Kimonzi started tapping her foot as the turbolift kept slowly crawling up towards the bridge. There was so much she was going to have to take care of.

Lahl: It…may be faster to climb, honestly.

Rouiancet: (still grim) Right. Let's do it. Security personnel in front and behind.

After popping the hatch, Kimonzi looked up and saw that they were indeed traveling so slow that even the slowest climber in Starfleet could have beaten it to there. They climbed up and Captain Rouiancet decided that they would go to the observation lounge, rather than the bridge directly. As they approached the observation lounge, Captain Rouiancet called back to her.

Rouiancet: Do we have any secrets squirreled away in there?

There came a moment in every military or other uniformed service, where one officer had to figure out if they could trust their superior officer with something like that. Apparently it was Kimonzi’s turn.

Lahl: Well…I have a couple things squirreled away. I can’t speak for what Commanders Arlill and Nilsen may have hid, or Lieutenant Legrand.

Rouiancet: Could you rig the door subroutine to cycle every door on the bridge open when this one opens? It may give us another second or two.

Lahl: Absolutely. I’ll just need a second to break into the operating system.

Rouiancet: Do whatever you need to.

Kimonzi nodded as she accessed the computer through one of the terminals. She had to get around a bunch of different ads as she did so. Shore Leave was going to be interesting.

Lahl: Well, almost there…

She waited for the security people and Captain Rouiancet to nod to her that they were ready, and she pressed the button.

Lahl: Go!

Rouiancet: Response

She went in to the bridge with the other members, and that’s when she saw Varik there with a horribly misshapen Zet.

Lahl: Well, that was unexpected.

Rouiancet/Dius/Varik: Response

Lahl: Queen? There’s no queens here.

Rouiancet/Dius/Varik: Response
