((Conference Room, Deck 5, USS Octavia E Butler))

Sherlock wasn’t happy with Nilsen.

Perhaps that was a bit of a strong start, and not entirely accurate, by all accounts. He wasn't in trouble and Sherlock had no plans to throw him out of the airlock, a fact that had surprised Nilsen and made the rest of the ship shiver in anticipation.

Nilsen's work with the UDP at the end of the chey’d mission had gone well, and there was certainly a diplomat inside him, first from the Alpha Brenkelvi II mission, then on the chey’d mission with the UDP.

However, his first encounter with the King’s Path left some wanting. On a roll from the previous mission and the successful talks with the people of Alpha Brenkelvi II, he thought he could speak up and speak for the away team when he entered the King's Path Mine for the first time...he was incorrect in that assessment.

So Sherlock wanted to rectify that, and this is why we found Nilsen with two people he had yet to meet. The first had short jet-black hair combed to the side and slight stubble. The second had his hair covered with a camo bandana. Lhandon thought he might have to take notes; maybe that would help his own hair stay well-behaved.

The conference room was just off the corridor of counsellors’ offices. It wasn't being used at that point, and Lhandon was happy because the gymnasium was right next to it.

Nilsen: Martinson? Taggart? I’m Lt Nilsen, it looks like Sherlock has put us all together?

Martinson/Taggart: Response

Nilsen: Please call me Lhando, She said something about public speaking and I think I know exactly what she means.

Martinson/Taggart: Response

Nilsen: So when we beamed down the Kings Path mine, I opened my mouth and then we got captured as slaves.

There was a little laugh there, to hide that it was a terrible time. Humour often can soften the blow and Lhandon likes his humour .

Martinson/Taggart: Response

Nilsen: I mean there’s a little more to it than that ::laughs:: As it turns out they had no intention of listening to us. It was their plan all along to try and take us.
