Lahl: Anywho, shall we start exploring?
Herrick: Before we do that, what did you think about what I said on the shuttle. If the request gets approved, are you into helping me with whatever they need help with?
Lahl looked as Lieutenant Herrick gave her the absolutely saddest look she could imagine a human was able to put on their face. It almost moved her.
Lahl: I was hoping to go at my own pace…
Herrick: ::nudging her:: They did say it was their best resort on this side of the ring in the additional pamphlet material they sent over.
Lahl: That’s true…but they also seemed really desperate to have you there.
Herrick: We can proceed with caution, but if they need help I’m up for giving it. Besides, it’ll start tomorrow anyway so we have time to think about it today and see where our day takes us. ::looking up:: Wow!

The top of the ring was crystal clear, directly in the centre was the star that they harnessed power and heat from, to the left and right were the curvature of the ring, and the backdrop was a photovoltaic nebula that sparked lightning in irregular intervals.
Richards: Hello! I was wondering if I was gonna see anyone else from the crew.
Herrick: Fancy meeting you here, the ensign and I were just about to go exploring toward… ::looking to Lahl::
Kimonzi looked back at him and felt herself acquiesce to his request to help out their hosts for this shore leave.
Richards: Exploring you say? Are you guys looking for some back up?
Lahl: Always! I always need some of you tall people around to grab things.
Herrick: Of course, join us!
Richards: Which way were we headed?
Lahl: We were headed to help out our hosts with an engineering issue they’ve been having. If you’re willing to help, there’s a luxurious suite waiting afterwards.
She saw Herrick’s face light up with her statement. It was always going to be her choice, but how often did one get a chance to mess with their superior officer?

Lahl: Besides, Anton’s pretty strong last I knew, I think he can be quite useful with any big equipment or tech we’ll need. ::smirking as she said that last part::

Lahl: Lead the way intrepid leader.
Kimonzi followed alongside Herrick as he walked to wherever it was that the government had requested them. She was excited to see what the technology was about, as she had always had a tendency to rip apart anything technological to see how it worked.

Lahl: So, how are you doing Richards? I heard there was some craziness with the Bridge towards the end of last mission.
