Lt.(jg) Dr. Toz: Trees? I love trees!

At the mention of needing another five nurses, the XO agreed with enthusiasm. Enthusiasm might have been a bit overzealous, but as far as Toz was concerned, that was exactly what it was. 

 

Toz: Thank you, sir!  

 

Promontory: (with a smile) Alright, I’ll leave you to it. Thanks again!

Toz was smiling broadly as the Lt. Commander left her office. He left not by the side door like she expected, but the main door through sickbay. She wondered if he was checking things out. If so, she knew she was passing muster.

Toz: oO Now, to get dressed into civvies and head out for DS14. Oo

((Deep Space 14 Arboretum) 

Having passed through security and wandering around for at least five minutes, Dr. Toz wondered if she should pull rank and find the nearest medical facility. They would speak her language, would be open to helping her find the Arboretum. 

Before she could inquire, a Vulcan approached her. He was middle-aged -for a vulcan- and Toz felt immediately at ease. Vulcan’s had a reputation for being kind and helpful. They were quite non-judgmental. 

Guide: I am Dauty, special guide for DS14. Could I help you? 

Toz: Yes, please. I’ve heard about your arboretum. There’s trees and bushes?

Dauty: Yes, of course. This way, please.

He handed her a brochure of the “Living Tree Museum” on a colorful padd. Toz looked it over, flipping pages as she walked behind and beside Dauty. She wasn’t inclined to ask questions but did see several species on the padd that she would ask about when they arrived at one. 

Suddenly, a colorful dragonet caught her eye. Smiling, Toz looked around, knowing Katsim Peri had to be close. Yes, she decided, that was Echo, flying happily among the trees. 

Guide/Nis: Response

Katsim: What would happen if someone accidentally walked in here unattended? 

That question hadn’t occurred to Toz. 

Toz: Is this place really dangerous? 

Guide/Nis/Katsim: Response

Toz: Hi! Just got here. You know I love trees. 

Nis/Katsim: response

Toz: I thought I should get away from the office for a while. What are you two up to? And do you mind if I join you? 

Nis/Katsim: response
