Eli Kovacs stood in front of the mirror, nervously adjusting his outfit for the umpteenth time. Tonight was a special night – his first 'real' date out in public with Lhandon Nilsen aboard the Butler. Sure they had coffee and meals together, but something about today felt more... official.
Nilsen: Response
Kovacs: Hi, Lhandon. Come in.
Nilsen: Response
Kovacs: ::nervously:: I, uh, hope you like Betazoid fire lilies. They’re supposed to be lucky.

Eli Kovacs stood in front of the mirror, nervously adjusting his outfit for the umpteenth time. Tonight was a special night – his first 'real' date out in public with Lhandon Nilsen aboard the Butler. Sure they had coffee and meals together, but something about today felt more... official.
Eli had spent the entire afternoon trying to decide on the perfect outfit, finally settling on a casual off-duty look that he hoped struck the right balance between relaxed and presentable.
His quarters were tidier than usual, with the clutter of engineering manuals and tools neatly stowed away. Eli had even replicated a small bouquet of Betazoid fire lilies, their vibrant colors adding a touch of warmth to the room. The soft hum of the ship's systems was a comforting background noise as he tried to calm his racing heart.
He glanced at the chronometer. It was almost time.
Kovacs: ::muttering to himself:: oO This is just another mission, Eli. You can do this. Oo
He took a deep breath and straightened up, reminding himself that he had faced far greater challenges than a first date.
