Toxin grew concerned that Eli's curiosity was becoming too intrusive. He worried Eli might discover more about Henri than Toxin was prepared to share. This wasn't the ideal time or place to reveal Henri's existence, if they ever chose to do so.
Arlill: ::feeling a bit uncomfortable with the questioning:: Look, I should probably finish up here. Got a shift coming up soon.
Kovacs: Oh… um… alright. I can get on to my sets then as well. You… uh… you have a good day chief.
Arlill: Do you need a spotter Eli? (beat) I’m sure Henri could hang out for a bit longer?
Henri: Yeah, ::looking somewhat annoyed towards Toxin:: I can help you out if you’d like.
Kovacs: Oh. ::looking towards Toxin’s ‘friend’:: I didn’t catch your name…
Arlill: Umm, yeah, introductions, how rude of me. ::interrupted::
Henri: My name’s Henri.
Kovacs: ::giving an awkward wave:: Nice to meet you; Elijah but everyone calls me Eli.
Henri: Nice to meet you Eli. (beat) I can stick around and help you out, no point in working out alone.
Arlill: Excuse us for a second.
Toxin pulled Henri to the other side of the room.
Arlill: ::in a low voice:: What are you doing?
Henri: Making friends.
Arlill: Is that a good idea? He seems suspicious.
Henri: ::turning away slowly:: All the more reason ::winking back at Toxin::
Henri walked back and walked towards Eli who seemed to be preparing for his first workout set.
Arlill: ::over his shoulder:: You two have fun.
Toxin stood outside the door to the gymnasium. He and Henri still had many unknowns regarding their symbiosis. oO Was he even able to leave Henri behind? Was Henri somehow tied to Toxin through the ship? Was Toxin now somehow a part of the ship too? What would happen if Toxin left while Henri was in a semi-corporeal form (a.k.a. hologram)? Oo
Toxin took a deep breath and walked down the corridor towards the turbo lift. oO I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Oo
