(( VIP Stateroom Three, Deck 5, USS Octavia E. Butler ))
At this point, Kimonzi wasn’t sure why she was still whispering, it was clear that Ehths couldn’t hear them.
Oh well, might as well keep at it, probably get more disappointment from Commander Katsim.
Lahl: (whispering again) We probably need to get back to the bridge in that case.
Ehths: (screaming) He will come for us!
As the Zet kept screaming, Captain Rouiancet turned her head to the security officers. She did have to wonder how he planned to make good on his threat.
Rouiancet: We're heading back to the bridge. Keep an ear out, in case he shouts anything of particular interest.
Kimonzi nodded as the Captain gave her orders. She then followed Captain Rouiancet and Commander Katsim to the turbolift.
(( Bridge, Deck 1))
This time, coming onto the bridge was easier as Captain Rouiancet was the one asking for the report, rather than Kimonzi who kinda…just did it without thinking. This was going to be better, she hoped.
She did make her way to the engineering console as they stepped onto the bridge, grateful for the familiar shapes and sounds from it.
Rouiancet: Report.
Ojotha: Mercenary ship on approach, Captain, and closing fast. Engineering profile suggests it's the same type as the first ship, but mass index suggests a larger vessel.
Rouiancet: Hm. Kimonzi, I need a full report. Peri, check with our interrogators, see the mercenaries currently aboard are expecting a rescue.
Lahl: Aye sir. Conducting scans now.
As the data came in, she was not liking what she saw. It was a similar make as the other mercenary ship, but the data showed a lot more offensive firepower.
Which was never a good sign.
Rouiancet: We also need to locate Toal'Dius, even if we do nothing else about him -- yet.
Lahl: Aye sir, scanning for Toal’Dius as well.
Luckily they still had his bio signs from when he had been aboard…though that was a previous husk, would the signs be the same?
Katsim: I’ve sent a digital message to Jer-Legrand and Varik.
Lahl: Well, hopefully they got some good information.
Rouiancet: Response
Katsim: Captain, this vessel has more offensive capabilities than the other ship.
Kimonzi grimaced at the confirmation of her read of the scans. This was not great.
Lahl: Uh…Captain…they’re hailing us. The second ship that is.
Rouiancet: Response
Lahl: I mean, the likeliest option, based on the make of the new ship, is that they’re on the same team and are checking in. They would call us because why are we here?
Rouiancet/Katsim: Response
That was a good point. She was going off the assumption that this was from the same mercenary company. Who knew though?
Lahl: That’s a good point. Shall we answer their hail sir?
Rouiancet/Katsim: Response
Lahl: Aye sir.
With a press, she brought the hail on screen.
Rouiancet/Katsim: Response
