Zi helped finish out the bowl, and then sipped at the last of her tea. She couldn't believe that they'd been talking for so long, and she very much appreciated Karen's time and -- again, she hoped she was right -- the beginnings of a friendship. Although hopefully it wouldn't need to always involve a career questionnaire.

Nijal: (also smiling) That's kind. But I think (beat) that I'm not going to run back to engineering anytime soon. Thank you for that.

Not that Zi was opposed to making that change, if it was ever the right thing to do. But while she hadn't been convinced requesting a transfer back into gold was the right thing or the wrong thing to do before the Butler's next mission began, now she was fairly sure that it was the wrong thing for her right now.

Stendhal: It was my pleasure. Anytime you need a friend or a counselor to talk with, don't hesitate to call me..

Nijal: (seriously) I will, absolutely.

Stendhal: (Smiling) I think you are really ready for the job, don't worry anymore about it.

And, to Zi's surprise, she found that she didn't think she would.

Nijal: I will. I mean, I won't. (beat) I won't worry, and I will do it.

She finished what would be a fond and foundational memory with a final laugh.
