(( Commander Williams’ Office, Deck 2, USS Atlantis, Day 4 of Shore Leave ))

:: Serala pressed the door chime and awaited admittance. Once the doors slid opened, she stepped inside. ::

Williams: Response

Serala: Hello, Commander. I have a proposal for you. I briefly mentioned it on the bridge when you were making the decision to return here to DS26.

Williams: Response

:: She took the offered chair and then resumed her proposal. ::

Serala: As you know, sir, many people were upset at the idea of leaving Commander Raga behind. Despite my arguments to the contrary, I didn’t like the prospect any more than anyone else did. I still don’t. Because of that, I spoke with my mother when she docked and I made a tentative proposal to her, pending your approval, or the Captain’s if he’s up to it when the time comes.

Williams: Response

Serala: That is correct, Commander. The Illa’variea is equipped with a cloaking device, carries more firepower than Atlantis, and more importantly, is operational. Albeit, they do have ongoing maintenance issues due to the age of the vessel and the lack of personnel to maintain it. My idea was that we take as many engineering staff as we can spare to help her maintain the ship, plus our entire contingent of Marines, and all Security personnel save enough to maintain ship’s security, the Command Staff, several personnel from Operations, including Lieutenant Maeli who may be able to help locate him through her telepathic abilities, Sotak, and Lieutenants Danara and Knight from Intel. While we’re looking for, slash en route to Volcania, everyone can chip in and help man stations on the Warbird. Even Maeli can pilot it, since it seems Mother only has two pilots.

Williams: Response

Serala: Mother assures me there is plenty of space to quarter us. Oh, and I spoke with her about loading our shuttles and fighters into her shuttle bays. She has assured me there is plenty of room for them too.

Williams: Response
