((Bridge, Deck 1, USS Atlantis))
:: They were now moving into visual range of Lydor V, and the new helm officer switched the main viewer to display the planet, still growing as they drew nearer. ::
Gixu: Lydor V in visual range sir. Say hello to our own piece of aquatic paradise!
Serala: Hello. :: somewhat sarcastically ::
Brell: If only we could go down to nice beach for a few hours. Our leave at the station has me wishing for a bit of fresh air.
oO At least it's not a whole moon of ice. Oo
Gixu: response
::The tubrolift doors slid open and Doctor Cattan entered. Serala didn't know her very well since she had left shortly after Serala's first mission in the Devonian system. She did know that the Doctor and the First Officer were a couple, but that was about all she knew. ::
Brell: Doctor, welcome to the bridge.
Cattan: Response
Brell: The science station is open for you to have full access to sensors. Planetary sciences departments are all competing for the lateral array … just to warn you.
Cattan: response
:: Serala was just monitoring her new subroutine closely. It hadn't been tested in a real situation, so she was nervous still about its usefulness. She noticed the Captain approaching her and looked up. ::
Brell: Lieutenant I wanted you to keep watch on another area. ::He expanded her screen of the surrounding space to include all of the planets in the star system.:: We entered the star system from an odd location to arrive here quickly, and because we had permission to do so by the Freeworlds Science Council. However … the main route from the corridor leads to freeworlds manufacturing colony on Lydor IX.
Serala: Yes sir. I'll keep an eye on it. If they are cloaked they may be bold enough to try the main routes.
Brell: There is also some heavily controlled mining operations going on in the asteroid belt between the seventh and eighth planets. Ships are not supposed to go further into the system than there.
Serala: I understand. Also, a good place for a ship to try and sneak into the system… cloaked or not.
Brell: If illegal mining is going on here, they would have to bypass the monitoring satellites in the asteroid belt.
Serala: I'll keep a close eye on them and will even monitor for any signals that might be used to transmit codes to the satellites causing them to turn a “blind eye” to unauthorized traffic.
Brell: Response
