OOC: Tags at the end of this for Doctor Snow. XD

((Gymnasium, Deck 5, USS Atlantis, Par’tha Expanse, Enroute to Earth))

{{Time Index: Day 23 of Shoreleave}}

Raga: We probably just scared someone who was coming in to use the other equipment. I don’t think anyone would want to be around two Al-Leyans sparring, would you?

Her head hurt, but she tried to focus on the memory of the fleeing person. Her brow furrowed slightly. Red hair. She remembered red hair.

Rosek: ::rasps:: Well, whoever it was, they had red hair and they were in a lot of pain. That was the most prominent feeling I got.

His brow raised at that, there were only 150 crew on board the Atlantis but a few that had red hair. There was a faint worry in the back of his mind, but it didn’t flutter to the surface just yet.

Raga: Well, I hope they’re alright. ::Looking to her side:: You, however,  are not. Let’s get you to Sickbay.

She grimaced as the first step jarred her cracked rib, almost making her afraid to take another.

Rosek: ::mutters:: Maybe you’ll remember that next time you’re tempted to land on top of me. And I promise, you pull a stunt like that again and a punch to the kidney will be the least of your worries.

Raga: Correct me if I’m wrong, but weren’t we sparring? I was holding back and I thought, you being half Al-Leyan could take it. Not my fault you’re weak when it comes to grapples.

He teased, but his brow was furrowed. This was what he was always so afraid of. Hurting his sparring partners. It’s why he faced holographic opponents. He could go all out.

Raga: I’m sorry, Lael. It was a stupid idea to have us spar. I’m clearly too dangerous to fight anything but holographic opponents.

She huffed, shaking her head. The motion made her slightly dizzy, but it cleared up after a moment. Her next step brought another wince to her face, but she quickly forced her features into a neutral expression.

Rosek: ::breathes:: Don’t get your panties in a twist, princess. I’ve taken harder hits. Hell, I’ve been stabbed and shot so many times that this is a walk in the park by comparison.

Slowly, they entered the corridor headed for Sickbay. Part of her wanted to do a site to site. But she wasn’t pathetic enough to ask or to complain about the discomfort she was in. No. She’d walk, thank you.

His brow raised in a near perfect Vulcan approximation and he smirked.

Raga: Oh, well in that case next time I should just throw you across the room. ::He teased::

Making their way into the corridor he could tell she was in a great deal of discomfort. Just by her breathing. It was that shaky inhale and exhale when just taking in life sustaining air caused enough pain to make you nearly lose said air.

Raga: Are you going to make it? Or do I have to carry you?

Rosek: ::glares at him and hisses:: Don’t even try it, Raga. I can walk. ::winces::

Hearing the stubborn tone of her voice, which he understood, he also knew she wasn’t in the condition to overly protest. With a careful, yet quick motion he scooped her up and slung her over his shoulders. Not over one shoulder, but across both. With her legs in one arm and the arm on her good side between his other. It was known as a soldier carry. He’d picked it up during the brief Marine Officer training he attended at the Academy.

Raga: Well, too bad. I’m not going to listen to your whining and wincing the whole way there.

A bright red flush of embarrassment filled her cheeks as she pounded feebly at his shoulder. Never in all her life had she been slung over a man’s shoulder like a ragdoll...like she weighed nothing. Her gaze dropped to the deck plating as she overheard two crewmembers whispering behind the cover of a nearby alcove. Her dignity was in shambles back where he’d hefted her over his shoulders.

Rosek: oO This is so humiliating. Oo ::growls:: Barbaro! Kavernisto! (Barbarian! Caveman!) Lasu min! (Put me down!)

Feeling her pounding at his shoulder he grunted and shook his head. Thinking she was just being obnoxious but when Lael went into full on. What was the phrase he’d heard a Human mention once? Drama queen. He glanced over his shoulder at her.

Raga:  Ĉu vi haltus? ((Would you stop it?)) ::He looked at her like she was inane:: Se mi estus vundita sufiĉe malbone por esti transportita kaj vi povus ŝovi mian butonon tra la koridoroj, vi ne aŭdus min plendante. He squinted at her:: Virino supren, Rosek. ((If I was hurt badly enough to need to be carried and you could cart my butt through the corridors you wouldn’t hear me complaining.)) (( Woman up, Rosek.))

She pouted, folding her arms, and winced as the move caused a throbbing in her ribs. Damn him. This was likely to be the talk of the ship. She grimaced. Still. There wasn’t much she could do about it at the moment. Her ribs and head hurt too badly to fight him.

Rosek: Bone. Sed mi volas konstati, ke mi forte protestas esti traktata kiel pupo. (Fine. But I want it noted that I strongly protest being treated like a doll.)

Raga: Duly noted. Though you do break like one. ::He chuckled, taking a dig at her:: At this rate you’ll give Logan a run for most dramatic and nonsensical member of the crew.

((Sickbay, Deck 5))

After what was a brief, yet probably wholly life ending walk for his parcel, through the ship they arrived at Sickbay. The doors opened and Toryn carefully turned before entering so as not to catch either her head or her feet on the archway. Though, given how ridiculous she was acting a good knock on the head would probably do her some good.

Wyla was busy updating patient files at the console near the back of the room when she heard the doors opened and turned to see the most unusual sight she’d ever beheld. Lieutenant Commander Raga, carrying their new Chief Engineer over his shoulders. She recognized the method, a soldier’s way of carrying wounded and she rushed over to them as he gently set her down onto the closest biobed.

Avae: Oh..oh what happened?

Raga: Apparently she breaks easily. ::He smirked at Lael, then looked to the Chief Nurse:: We were sparring briefly and I think I broke a rib.

Lael glared at him, wanting to deliver another punch to the spot that she’d jabbed earlier, but well aware she was now in the presence of other people. The last thing she wanted was to be reported for assaulting a superior officer, even if the only way he outranked her was by his duty post. Forcing a smile through the insistent throbbing in her head and side, she turned to the young nurse.

Rosek: It’s fine. But if you could get Doctor Snow, I’d appreciate it. ::jabs her thumb at Toryn:: I think you can likely handle this one.

Wyla couldn’t help but just glance between the two of them for a moment, though out of pure reflex she had already pulled a medical tricorder out of her coat pocket and had it flipped open to scan the engineer.

Avae: Oh...okay. Wait, are you injured too Commander?

Raga: Yes, bruised quite a bit. But I’ll be fine. Making sure she’s okay is more important. ::He said seriously::

Avae: Oh, okay. ::She closed the device in her hand and rushed off to grab Doc Snow::

With the nurse gone, she shifted slightly on the biobed and winced.

Rosek: ::mutters:: At least it wasn’t my back. The nanites have enough work keeping my body from rejecting the replacement spine.

Barely a minute or two later the Chief Nurse returned with Snow in tow and Toryn looked to them both.

Snow: response
