(( Bridge, Deck 8 forward, R.R.S.S. Illa’variea, approaching DS26))

:: Serala stood on the bridge of the D’Deridex class Warbird as it made its approach to the station. She has been invited here by her mother both as a courtesy to her daughter and because if it became necessary, having a Starfleet officer would make things easier for them. R’Val didn’t expect problems. The station personnel were getting used to her showing up here. Still, it never hurt to take precautions. ::

Centurion: Commander, I am picking up the Atlantis on sensors. It is docked at the station.

Serala: They’re here? They weren’t supposed to be back for another week. I wonder what’s going on.

R’Val: Well, they don’t look as bad as they did the last time they showed up here. Under tow. By shuttlecraft, of all things. Ridiculous. I thought they would scrap the ship for sure, not rebuild it. :: The Atlantis had just come into view on their screen. To Serala, the ship looked majestic. ::

Serala: That is definitely true. But, how did you know how they looked when they arrived?

R’Val: Silly child. I was already here, under cloak of course. The ambassador thought it might be a good idea to get some surveillance of the station and the ships coming and going just in case we might need the information. The Republic might be trying to be friendly with the Federation, but the trust is not entirely there yet.

Serala: I understand. Well, mother, if you will excuse me, I must get ready to transfer back to Atlantis. If you were going to be challenged, the station would have already done so.

R’Val: Of course, Serala. And if you are still here when you have your wedding, please ask you Captain for permission for me to attend.

Serala: That was a given, Mother. And no doubt, Captain Brell will approve it.

R’Val: Jolan’tru, Serala

Serala: Jolan’tru, Mother

(( A few minutes later, Outside the Captain’s Ready Room, Deck 1, U.S.S. Atlantis, DS26))

:: Serala pressed the doorchime and waited for the Captain to admit her. Once he did, she entered and approached his desk smartly, Stevok close behind. ::

Serala:  Captain, reporting back aboard, sir.

Brell: Response

:: Her smile widened at the question and she relaxed as he had ordered. ::

Serala: Yes, Captain. It was wonderful. Thank you for authorizing the trip. May I introduce you to my husband, Doctor Stevok of Vulcan?

Brell: Response

Stevok: :: raising his hand in the ta’al to return the Captain’s greeting :: Peace and Long Life, Captain Brell. It is an honor to meet you. :: He then extended his hand to conduct a handshake, as was Federation custom; a byproduct of the humans. ::

Brell:  Response

Serala: Yes, sir. I am very ready. I just need to post an announcement for the crew and I need to visit one other person. I am going to show Stevok to my quarters first, with your permission of course. I was hoping he could stay with me until after the ceremony.

Stevok: I will need to be returning to Lydor IX once the wedding is complete, Captain.

Brell: Response

Serala: Yes, sir. And thank you. That sounds great. With your permission, then, we’ll get settled in and I will make my housecall on a certain person. Oh, before I forget. My mother is here. She gave us a ride to Vulcan and back. I would like permission for her to beam over for the wedding and reception.

Brell: Response

Serala: Thank you, Captain.

:: With that, she took Stevok by the hand and the two of them left the Captain’s Ready Room. ::
