((Chief of Operations’ Office, Deck 6, USS Atlantis))

((Time Index: Day 24 of Shore Leave - Morning Hours))

Levinson: Of course, Lieutenant. And now, you are the Assistant Chief of Operations here. Quite the difference from a Cadet, if I may make the observation.

Kiax: You can say that again… It’s been one heck of a ride so far, that’s for sure. We’ll have to go out for drinks at some point and get reacquainted.

Noa could absolutely imagine it was. And she was definitely looking forward to reacquainting with Esa.

Levinson: Absolutely, it would only be… ::Almost teasingly:: logical, if we meet up again at a time when we are both off duty. We definitely need to catch up, after all that time. What do you think?

Kiax: ::Almost mockingly Vulcan, with a deadpan expression:: That would be agreeable. Yes.

She watched Esa with a deadpan expression of her own, only to hold on for a bit longer than her old Trill acquaintance. She maintained the deadpan stare, only with a bit of amusement.

They only shared one class at the Academy, but it was enough for the two of them to remember each other, and Esa was definitely someone Noa would’ve loved to catch up with. Serving on the same ship was the perfect opportunity for it..

Kiax: Anyway… I should probably look for a rooming assignment for you…

Straightening herself in the chair she was sitting on, Noa gave her a nod.

Levinson: Yes. Please, go ahead.

Her amusement slowly faded away, as the room returned to a more professional atmosphere.

Kiax: How does Deck 7, Room 0641 sound? Across the hall from Science Lab Four and only a couple decks above astrometrics?

Less walking sounded good. It would certainly make her schedule more efficient. However, there was one factor to inquire about.

Levinson: It indeed sounds like a most suitable choice of quarters. However, does it have an external window?

Kiax: I’m afraid it doesn’t have a window, but I can always find another if this is a problem for you?

oO Aww… Oo

It wasn’t that important, but it was a substantial bonus, in her mind.

Levinson: No need, Lieutenant, it is not. Thank you.

Kiax: Any other needs I should be aware of while you’re assigned here? Specialist gravity environments or Climate Controls?

Levinson: None. The default settings are sufficient for me.

Noa was very aware of the various species of the Federation and their needs for special environment settings, and understood why the question was asked. However, she didn’t need any special modifications,.

Kiax: Response

Levinson: Very well. Is there anything else?

Kiax: Response
