(( Bridge, Deck 1, USS Atlantis, in orbit around Lydor V, Lydor System, Ranae Toxas Sector, Freeworlds Region, Par'tha Expanse, Beta Quadrant, Milky Way Galaxy, The Universe ))

(( OOC: Haven't had much sleep lately, so I'm feeling a little silly, hence my location tag…))

:: Suddenly, this potentially boring mission had become quite active. There was a cloaked ship, most likely Consortium or TR, now planet-side, one away team under fire from spiderbots…again… Another reporting tremors resulting from the explosions of the robotic miners, and a third team seemed on the verge of being press-ganged into service aboard one of the locals’ ships. ::

oO And to think, I might have been on one of those teams and I would be missing all the excitement. Here, I get to know what's going on with all our teams and help coordinate them. If I'm lucky, I might even get to shoot the robot ship out of the sky. Oo

:: She couldn't help but let out a chuckle at that thought. Sometimes, her Romulan nature got the better of her. ::

Brell: Thank you Lieutenant, Reopen the line to Raga’s team.

Serala: Aye, sir. Channel open.

Brell: =/\= We have confirmation that a small vessel of some kind has entered the atmosphere. It’s likely heading your way. Your orders are to board that ship if at all possible and attempt to disable it. Attempt to go in stealy if possible if you are detected...weapons free. Aim for their power cells in their mid-thorax if they are like the ones we encountered before that's where it would be.  =/\=

Raga: =/\= Understood Captain. Be advised, we believe we have been compromised already. We're seeing a notable change in the bots behavior. I think they're regrouping to form a defense but thankfully these aren't as armored as the ones that attacked Atlantis. =/\=

McKnight: =/\= Contact front! =/\=

Raga: =/\= Ahh....branch....that blinded me...I need cover. Weapon's free! =/\=

Logan: =/\= Response =/\=

McKnight: =/\= Atlantis, McKnight. Raga's hurt! We're pushing forward...Logan, cover! =/\=

Logan: =/\= Response =/\=

McKnight: =/\= Lieutenant, are you alright? =/\=

Raga: =/\= Response =/\=

Brell: =/\= We can send in a clean up team later to ensure they won't be discovering a robot carcass in a hundred years. =/\=

Raga: =/\= Yes, sir. We'll get on that ship if we have to take out every last bot. Assuming they don't collapse the cave on top of us! ::There was a pause and the sound of heavy and rapid phaser fire from Raga's comm:: Rolfs! They have a tactical Rolf! Logan, McKnight, focus fire on those three bots. They're trying to block the exit. But don't hit those explosives or we're dead.=/\=

::The comm line returned to passive.::

Serala: I'm having trouble keeping a fix on Lieutenant Raga's team. Communications are clear, but something in the rock is refracting the sensor beam. I'm not sure I could beam them out if they need it. They'll either have to advance out of the area or retreat. Also, I'm still not detecting that ship. Once it got inside the atmosphere my program became useless.

Brell: Keep our sensors on the island chain we have our teams on, they have to be heading there to collect their ore. A cloak makes all the more sense that they are trying to do this covertly. Without the Freeworlds or the locals getting wind of it. They just didn't know we’d be coming here to set up a duck blind. A week ago or a week from now now ships would be here to have a chance at catching them in the act.

Serala: Lucky us. A little revenge would be sweet. After what they did to us, disrupting their operation is the least we can do.

Cattan: Response

Termine: =/\= Termine to Atlantis, Have there been reports of explosions going on? We’ve detected some shockwaves in the cave system over here.  =/\=

Serala: =/\= Affirmative, Ensign, Lieutenant Raga's team discovered an illegal mining operation under the main island. They are engaged combat right now. =/\=

Termine: =/\= Well I don’t want to add fuel to the fire, but I don’t think our caves over here can take to many more of those without risking a complete cave-in. And judging by the size of these caverns, a geologic disruption at that scale could cause ground effects that could submerge at least the southern half of the island chain, destroying at least one major city, not to mention trapping the engineering team down here.  =/\=

Dermont:  =/\= Oh, and that's not all lovelies.  Zett's most recent scans show that due to the rock disruptions, pockets of what look like Micozoline gas have started ta seep up into the cavern.  Not sure how much or how long...but if it keep us, it'll be more than the environmental systems can filter.  Not ta say anything about if it mixes with the local fresh water supply.. =/\=

oO Wonderful! Oo

Serala: =/\= Understood, Ensign, Lieutenant. Raga and the Marines are on it. Now, unless that cave-in actually happens, please keep the line open but clear until this situation is resolved. =/\=

Nardian: =/\= Nardian: :: Slightly shaky voice :: In the light of recent events, perhaps we should rejoin the rest of the group and possibly…..return to the ship. To return later of course! =/\=

:: She couldn't help but smirk at that and had bite back her tongue from shaking her thoughts. ::

oO Civilians! Four trained Starfleet personnel and he wants to tuck tail. Oo

Serala: =/\= Sorry, Doctor, but unless there's an imminent threat, I'm pretty busy up here. Please stand by. =/\=

Brell: Response?

Gixu: Response?

Serala: Our Civilian specialist is just getting a bit nervous, sir. Nothing serious yet, although Lieutenant Dermont says that a build up of Micozoline gas has begun. He didn't know how long they have before it reaches dangerous levels.

Cattan: Response

Brell: Response

Raga/McKnight/Logan: Responses, if any

Dermont/Termine/Nardian: Responses, if any

Williams/Danara/Sotak: Responses, if any

(( OOC: Would put tags for the other team, in case they needed to contact Atlantis, but they(we) are already on the next day. ))
