(( Torpedo Bay, Deck 10, USS Atlantis ))

::Once they reached the doors to the Torpedo Bay, Yelchin produced a manual door opener, and they forced the doors open. ::

Serala: :: Entering :: Alright people. We've got work to do. Let's get to it! Let's teach those bastards a lesson!

Yelchin: Aye, Ensign. Come on, Pics.

:: Together, the two of them headed for the main power panels and got took work. Serala turned to the torpedo control station. ::

oO Minimum power, thanks to Jann. It will be enough to fire with. Hopefully, they can get me targeting sensors, but that's a stretch. Oo

:: With a sigh, she moved over to help Knight move the torpedoes into the tubes and arm them. She set her two torpedoes to proximity fuse. Useful when you can't see your enemy, but have a general idea where he is. ::

oO Boats! Boats leave a wake. Here in the Expanse, ships leave a wake also. They HAVE to be moving slowly, or theirs would be visible to Commander Williams! That's how we'll find them! Oo

Knight: Ensign Serala start working on arming these two, I’ve got an idea I need to work on.

Serala: Does it have anything to do with boats and their wakes? Just find me that ship, and I'll treat you to a round of drinks when we get to DS26.

Knight: Yelchin, what is the status on our power?

Yelchin: It wasn't bad. Should be using auxiliary power in about one minute. Looks like the core had been ejected.

Knight: Good

Serala: Great, Yelchin. Once that's done, see what you can do about getting me targeting sensors.

Yelchin: Yes Ma'am.

Knight: =/\= Knight to Cmdr. Williams. We need a favor down here. =/\=

Williams: =/\= Response =/\=

Knight: =/\= I need the results of your scan for scan for Subspace energy fluctuations and quantum fractures. =/\=

Williams: =/\= Response =/\=

Knight: =/\= Understood Commander. =/\=

Sotak: =/\= Captain Brell, this is Ensign Sotak speaking. I don’t know what the Atlantis went through or why it was attacked, but I find it necessary to inform you that even before plotting a course to your coordinates our sensors picked up some strange subspace energy fluctuations for which we cannot find the source. Now that we’re here, the readings only seem to be getting stronger. If I had to hypothesise, I believe you’re dealing with a cloaked ship, one with immense energy storage, and probably very dangerous. =/\=

Brell: =/\= Response =/\=

Knight: =/\= Ensign Knight to U.S.S Farrow please respond =/\=

U.S.S Farrow: =/\= Response =/\=

Knight: =/\= I need you to scan for Subspace energy fluctuations and quantum fractures and feed me the results. =/\=

:: She finished arming the other two torpedoes, standard fuses - they would be the second volley once the first two had helped pinpoint the enemy's exact location - then moved back to the tactical panel. At just that moment, Yelchin and Pics managed to get the power up and her console came to life. ::

Serala: Bless the Elements! Good work you two. Now I need eyes.

Yelchin: On it, Ma'am.

U.S.S Farrow: =/\= Response =/\=

Knight: =/\= I’m receiving them now =/\=

Serala: Yes! Coordinates! :: tapping her commbadge :: =/\= Serala to Captain Brell. We're close having a firing solution. Request permission to fire once we have one. =/\=

Knight: They should be close..... tracking cloaked ships isn't an exact science. If i had to guess, i'd say the ship is stationary. They are probably trying to wait it out.

Brell: =/\= Response =/\=

Serala: Yes sir!

oO Finally! Revenge is at hand! Oo

Knight: You’ll have to input the coordinates by hand and I’d recommend setting the torpedoes to proximity.

Serala: Tubes one and three are already set for proximity and slaved together. Once they detonate, I'm going to fire two and four at the point of explosion. Their shields are down because of the cloak, so this is really going to hurt.

:: Serala was furiously entering coordinates. Knight was wrong about one thing. They weren't stationary. They were just moving slowly to avoid leaving a detectable wake. She was compensating for that movement now. ::

Sotak/Farrow: =/\= Response =/\=

Serala: Gotcha. Firing tubes one and three!

:: She pressed the fire button. Torpedoes speed away and shortly thereafter detonated, briefly highlighting the robot ship. ::

Serala: =/\= All shuttles! Target that explosion and fire whatever you have! =/\=

:: And she fired tubes two and four, targeting the explosion herself. ::

(( Cockpit, USS Farrow, ))

Lyldra: Ensign Termine sent out hail on Starfleet frequencies see if we can’t find them that way.

Termine: Aye sir, broadcasting on all standard frequencies. No response yet but I’ll keep repeating the broadcast.

:: Just then, a bright white dot appeared and fizzled out on the outermost periphery of Dantes astrogator. ::

Termine: Captain, the long-range sensors have picked up a matter/anti-matter explosion. It’s signature matches that of a Starfleet tech. Shall I lay in a course? oO What…what could have happened here? Has the very first ship I’ve ever been assigned to been destroyed even before I reached it? Oo

Lyldra: response

Termine: Aye sir! Sotak, can you squeeze anything more from the sensors? I’d like to know what we’re warping into.

Sotak: response

:: Dante’s fingers drummed a pattern on his terminal, in a course for the explosion. the beat ended with his thumb striking a large red button that engaged the warp drive, sending the Farrow hurtling through space. The jump would take them only a few minutes but time seemed to stretch almost as long as the starlines whizzingpast the cockpit’s glass. Dante watched Lyldra sit in steely concentration. It seemed to him as if she was trying to will the craft through warp. Shooting Sotak a concerned glance, and getting an unsurprisingly emotionless yet seemingly bemused look back, Dante turned back to the cockpit windows.::

::As the ship dropped out of warp, star-lines shot back into diamond-studded normal space. Immediately alarms blared in the shuttle, warning them of incoming debris. There, looming like the mangled corpse of a behemoth floated the battle-damaged USS Atlantis. Fires roared behind forcefield-covered holes in her hull, and lights flickered throughout. On the bottom of the craft, the open warp-ejection cover told the story better than any sensor could. Dante stood up with a start, knocking his warm cup of coffee over, shattering it on the floor::

Termine:: My god…

Any: response

Any: response

:: Dante was almost too distracted by the sight of his new posting listing in the blackness of space to notice a hail coming in on his OPS panel. as he saw it come in, he switched on the com lines::

Termine: Incoming hail from the Atlantis sir! opening coms.

Knight: =/\= Ensign Knight to U.S.S Farrow please respond =/\=

Lyldra: =/\= Response =/\=

Knight: =/\= I need you to scan for Subspace energy fluctuations and quantum fractures and feed me the results. =/\=

Any: response

:: Dante wasn’t sure what exactly was going on, but he had paid attention enough in sensors class to know what was going on. Somewhere, lurking in the darkness was a cloaked ship, one which had clearly ambushed and disabled the Atlantis. ::

Any: response

Termine: Aye, coordinates confirmed. =/\= Atlantis this is id the Farrow, sending you the coordinates now, I’ll try to keep them as current as possible.=/\=

Knight: =/\= I’m receiving them now =/\=

Sotak/Farrow: =/\= Response =/\=

Serala: Gotcha. Firing tubes one and three!

:: Dante saw a flash of blue emit from the Atlantis and streak out into the distance. For a few pregnant seconds the air in the small shuttle was dense and still as they waited. Then, light and fire bloomed where once there was only darkness and start ::

Termine: oO There! we hit it! Oo

Serala: =/\= All shuttles! Target that explosion and fire whatever you have! =/\=

Lyldra: response

Termine: Aye sir! with everything we’ve got!

:: Dante powered all phaser strips that could lock and targeted the point of the explosion sending bolts of orange reaching towards it and the now materializing ship in the distance.

Termine: Multiple confirmed hits!

Any: response

Termine: oO And here I was expecting a sleepy diplomatic cruise. I can tell that this posting is definitely going to be an interesting one! Oo
