PNPC - PO 3rd class Por'kus gets to know a bridge officer better than he wants

:: Por’kus shifted one arm to reach down and grab his engineering tricorder even as he continued to talk to some $%^&* officer type on the bridge via the ships internal communications system. ::
Fiorr: =/\= Now.. are you sure your observation is right? There shouldn’t be anything organic in our ship's systems. =/\=
Por’kus: =/\=What the $%^& do you think I am. Some kind of #$%^&* pest removal tech. I’m an engineer, I know the $%^&* difference between mechanics and tech and something that’s #$%^&* living. =/\=
:: Not for the first time Por’kus had to wonder just what kind of training these guys got, I mean what kind of a stupid question had that been. ::

:: While waiting Por’kus did some scans and he sure did not like what he was seeing, in fact he wriggled away from the alien #$%^& thing as quick as he could when it reacted and sent a tendril towards him. ::
Por’kus: Oh no you don’t. :: He snarled as he reached down and grabbed the large spanner attached to his belt. :: I eat $%^&* things like you, not the other #$%^& way around.
:: He did not have a lot of room to maneuver but he managed to nail it a good one and the tendril was smutched, a thick viscus purple fluid draining out of it, causing the metal it came in touch with to bubble and start to melt even as the last 2 feet of the tendril dangled uselessly. ::
:: That was not good, especially not when combined with the data he had seen on his tricorder. He decided that it would not be a bad idea to give it a little more space, especially as he seemed to have pissed it off so he started to wriggle back away from it some more when he heard a voice from just south of his butt. ::
Fiorr: Ok, what have we got so far?
Por’kus: What I got is some #$%^&* organic thingy that’s sucking energy like it was a lollypop and tapped into the ships systems like some demented mother in law from hell.
Fiorr: I anticipated that. May I?
:: Por’kus could not believe it when the guy started to try and squirm past him. He had to suck in his gut more than he had at his last physical just to give him enough room to do it and even then the guy got a little too close to the family jewels to be comfortable. ::
Fiorr: Definitely organic. It seems to be integrated into the ship. I detect some sort of electric traffic between “it” and the ship. Sort of like a brain sending signals to muscle-tissue. The only species I know who use this teach are the Breen and species 8472… But neither should be in this part of space…
Por’kus: Well I can tell you it ain’t theirs, my tricorder would have recognised the stuff if it was.

:: Just then Por’kus noticed that it was sending a couple tendrils towards them, the one dripping acidic purple fluid and another that looked a little too energetic for his liking. ::
Por’kus: Look can we discuss this more once we put some safe distance between it and us. :: He snarled as he pointed towards it. He could not move, not until the $%^& officer got the $%^& out of the way. They were currently both stuffed in here like some kind of a cork. ::

Por’kus: I am sucking it in and watch where your putting your hand. :: He snapped back even as he glanced towards the alien thingy to see that the tendrils were getting closer. ::
