(( Corridor, Deck 10, USS Astraeus ))

oO Sevan! I'm coming too! Where did you two...three go? Also...sorry to any other betazoids who hear me thinking loudly... Oo

Gwen was trying to be a loud thinker, till she remembered there were other telepathic species on the ship. Embarrassment washed over her as she decided to just run past those entering as she tried to catch up to at least one of the people who had left. Then they could race after the other two.

She knew without realizing that the tall retreating figure down the corridor to the left was Charlie. Gwen could spot him easily with his stature, height and hair. Glad that she could find at least one out of the three that had ran off, Gwen hurried after him.

Tasen: Charles! I'm...if you are chasing Chris...I'm coming too.

Matthews: Response

Gwen smiled though it didn't exactly reach her eyes as she gave Charlie a slightly concerned version of the smile. Quickly studying the Acting Security Chief for a moment before she adjusted her pace to walk with him. It amazed her the level at which each person was handling their last mission. Everything Charles had said was true. And while talking about the holodeck program had been a decent distraction, it did not have the initial draw it had before. They had been through fire and came back out different. Hopefully for the better...but what she was worried about and looking for in her...could she call him a friend now? Probably. It's not every day someone wraps their arm around someone, listens to them fall apart, and help themselves piece everything back together.

Tasen: Did you see either of them when you walked out?

Matthews: Response

She nodded softly as they walked, glad for the company as they searched for their missing Chris and Sevan. This deck was the worst to try and find someone on. It was absolutely massive, the good thing about it was that they could only have gone so far. And would be shorter if Chris had taken a turn and hid not terribly far away to try and escape Sevan. Though knowing the Betazoid woman, Gwen assumed she would have been able to find whoever she wanted to if she needed to and they were close.

As they walked, Gwen peeked down a few of the split off hallways. Being this close to the science complex, meant Gwen knew several good spots to hide. Though she immediately wondered how many of those spots deep within the science complex that Lieutenant Caldwell would know.

Matthews: Response

Gwen peeked up and over at him as they walked before nodding her head lightly.

Tasen: Yeah, we can try that way.

Matthews: Response

The two moved in the direction he had indicated, Gwen peeking around odd things and corners, hoping to find the fleeing helmsman and pursuing the doctor. Instead nothing. No one other than individuals who were actively on shift or exploring the ship on their own time.

Once again it was that comfortable silence, at least for Gwen as they walked. She had grown to trust Charles, especially after what he had done for her. She had fled to break down alone only to have someone in the middle of the night find her and not judge her for breaking. And just held her while she did. It meant a lot that he had done that...he didn't have to.

That guess ended up being wrong, as the corridor ended back into a loop back towards the original corridor. Instead of commenting on the lost Chris, Gwen finally spoke up as they continued down another corridor.

Tasen: Thank you. For the other day...

Matthews: Response

(( OOC: Good to expand any of the above with you if you want to! ))

Gwen smiled at him warmly as they turned again and her gaze briefly jumped to the hallway ahead of them to make sure she wasn't going to run into anyone as she thought of what to respond with. Only for her thought process to get interrupted as she spotted a woman she had gotten to know very well and another figure nearby.

Her gaze flicked up to the security chief beside her briefly before turning back to Sevan and Chris as the two moved closer.

Saa: Listen, Chris-

oO Sevan! You found him! Oo

Matthews: Response

Saa: If you are uncomfortable talking to me… maybe crewmates without the Doctor profession would be more assuring.

Caldwell: ::Dryly:: What a surprise seeing you two here.

Saa: Glad you could join us.

Matthews: Responses

oO Oh...he's not happy Oo

Tasen: We were looking for both of you.

Caldwell: I don't want to sound unappreciative but let me just catch everyone up. I'm fine, I have work to do, I don't like meetings, I'm fine. ::Turning towards Saa with a painted on smile:: Does that tally with you Doctor?

Saa:
Response

Caldwell: Again, I don't want to sound unappreciative but it's not a crime to want to escape a meeting is it? I really do have work I need to be getting on with.

Tasen: Maybe we wanted to escape too? I know I did.

Matthews: Responses

Caldwell: Look you all found excuses to leave, no-one is chasing you down through the ship to find out what's going on. I really don't mind who makes what decisions about this roleplay stuff, if we're going to do it, let's just do it, there's no point asking me about things I know nothing about, I'll defer to the experts. ::Raising a hand to pause any further comments:: Mystery solved. Crisis averted. This ::waving his hands to dramatically encompass the group:: manhunt is probably a little over the top.

Gwen had paused when Caldwell started talking. Her emerald gaze studied him as he spoke. She started to speak up to call him out on the lack of getting to the actual point and still referencing the holo program. She wasn't a telepath. She didn't exactly know the helmsmen that much. But she did have eyes...had seen him run and saw him now. Was he putting on a mask? Using the holodeck program as a mask to hide what he was actually feeling?

He's hiding like everyone else was hiding it. Chris had done what probably every single one of them had done or was going to do. That run that she knew she had done. Fleeing nightmares that wouldn't go away, probably looking like a crazy woman as she sprinted from her room to a tree decks away and cried.

Tasen: Lieu- ::sighs softly:: Chris. None of us followed you over any questions about that holodeck thing.

Saa/Matthews: Responses

Gwen swallowed and glanced around at them all, wishing beyond anything at the moment she could just have a conversation with Sevan.

oO Mentally kick me if I need to shut up please. Someone said I was old so I'm supposed to have Pearls of Wisdom... Oo

She didn't let her gaze drift to Charlie, remembering his words. Instead she finally squared her shoulders and looked at Chris as she crossed her arms over her chest lightly. Before giving him a knowing look. Gwen'ora looked towards the others and shifted her weight on her feet, shifting her hip to the side as she stared down the helmsmen.

Tasen: We are here because we understand and...could tell when someone needs people. ::Gwen pauses and glances around at the others before continuing.:: You can say it's just work. But everyone standing here knows it's not.
