Gwen'ora swallowed and stood from the Orion woman's side, moving to follow Paramedic Ennen towards Lieutenant Ral.

Ennen: Still with us, Lieutenant?

Ral: Just about.  How are ::cough:: the others?

Tasen: They're being taken care of by the others. ::Giving the Lieutenant a small smile::

Ennen: Response

Ral: I just want to sleep.  I’m so tired.

Gwen frowned and quickly looked to Ennen in worry about to speak when she saw the Chief Engineer slump to the side. Quickly the Ba'ku woman rushed to shift forward enough to catch and guide the man gently to the ground beneath. Her concerned green eyes looking to Ennen before she turned her gaze back to Ral and gave him a visual once over as she pulled away a bit so that the paramedic could better inspect him.

Ennen: Response

Doucet: =/\= Doucet to the Bridge. Please tell me site-to-site transport is working. Commander Kiax is in dire straits. =/\=

Alentonis: =/\= Response =/\=

Gwen looked up at hearing Commander Alentonis' voice over the comms and furrowed her brow at his answer. They needed to get these people out of here...

Doucet: =/\= You’re saying you have a lock… but you can’t actually do the transport? Why not? =/\=

Alentonis: =/\= Response =/\=

That made sense. Gwen turned her gaze to her forgotten Tricorder that had been left by the Orion Operations Lieutenant. But how...

Doucet: =/\= Okay. We’ll figure something out. =/\=

That was Gwen's cue...something she knew how to do. Something scientific and not medical. Gwen quickly gave an apologetic look to the Paramedic and stood from Lieutenant Ral before rushing to her tricorder.

Doucet: Moving her in this state is as likely to kill her with that bit of metal as doing a bit of field surgery right now would. Please tell me someone has an idea to clear up the air enough for safe transport.

Quickly she stood a bit apart from the group and scanned the room around them atmospherically. She had to find a way to clear the air near them...just enough. Green gaze moved across the destroyed strategic ops floor. Consoles mostly were either fully destroyed or barely flickering. So nothing there...her gaze shifted to the environmental units nearby and saw their state of lack of existence and sighed with a huff.

A huff that clouded the hood of her helmet for a moment with thin film of condensation formed on the visor of her helmet. Her suit...every suit here had a life support system which included the filtration system and oxygen system. Gwen looked up to Doucet and nodded.

Tasen: I do...we can use the EV Suits life support system. I'm pretty sure I can amplify the filtration system that's used within. It should be strong enough to clear the air around us. Though I may need a second. But either way it means we'll be exposed for a bit but the worst seem to be in the stairwell getting here.

Saa / Ennen: Responses

Doucet: You do that then. I’ll focus on keeping her and the symbiont stable long enough to survive this. The others seem stable enough for the moment, yes?

Saa / Ennen: Responses

Tasen: If you could move everyone close together, I'll need a small enough space to clear unless someone wants to donate a helmet.

Gwen nodded and looked around the room for a small moment. She had been inoculated and was assuming when she removed the helmet the worst that would affect her would be heat and smoke. This was fine.

Doucet: Antiseptic solution… where is it…

The Ba'ku scientist took a deep breath before she removed her helmet with a woosh and sat down. As close to the center of the mess of doctors working and unconscious bodies as she could. Gwen sat the helmet down neatly infront of her crossed legs with the bowl of the helmet facing downwards. Quickly she reached up and at the backside of her neck and felt around for the latches of the attached units on the neck of the suit. As soon as everything she needed was unattached to her suit, she began reconnecting it to the helmet. Basically attaching the life support systems with the helmet and all of it's vents and such just without the body of the suit.

((OOC: Had any other helmets been offered she would have snagged them an attached them to the main unit that was her own here.))

Gwen'ora Tasen connected the tricorder to the helmets systems and began working. First was to over ride the helmet thinking that since it wasn't on her that it did not need to work. It only took a few small commands before she audibly heard the filtration system kicking on.

Saa: Response

Doucet: Ah, thanks. She’ll bleed out if I pull this out so let’s clean it up and get a better look at it.

Gwen forced herself to focus and forced that worry knot from affecting her as she disconnected the tricorder from the helmet and began scanning the atmosphere around them.

Mei’konda: =/\= Crew of Astraeus,  this is the Captain. We are about to arrive at the location of the Titan. All haands to battle stations. =/\=

Gwen just added that onto the knot again. When...when would the chaos slow down? It wasn't stopping or calming since it began. The tricorder in her hands was showing promise as the helmets system seemed to start working to clear the air. Though her brow furrowed at the results. It wasn't exactly working as well or as effective as she wanted. Gwen hadn't noticed it but naturally in the chaos as she focused on her work, that knot of worry had pushed itself down. The Commander was right.

Serala: What’s the situation?

oO If...that wasn't the best timing... Oo

Gwen was listening as folks spoke around her but it was as if it was distant noise. Though she did look up quickly to give the woman a respectful nod before she turned her focused gaze back to her work as she listened to the others responses. Did the woman know how much the talk in the elevator helped her? Gwen was thankful for it and kept focusing.

Doucet / Saa: Responses

Tasen: I'm rigging the helmets to try and clean the air enough to get a teleporter lock on everyone.

Gwen had reconnected her tricorder to the helmet's units. The Ba'ku scientist needed it to filter out the theta radiation in the vicinity. The rest was technically fine. So she set the life support system of the helmet to ignore several different chemicals. The next setting she adjusted was the strength. With a few settings ticked on the tricorder, Gwen heard the filter on the helmet hum angrily as it worked with vigor.

Serala: Very well. I’ve done about all I can here. No sense in risking the baby any further, so I’m heading back out into the corridor. Keep me updated.

Now it was time to observe. Gwen watched as the readings around them changed with time. The theta radiation was being filtered out of the air around the helmet which as she shifted, Gwen realized was a decent radius around them. It was working...now was it enough?

(( Short Time Skip ))

Doucet: Any progress, Tasen?

Tasen: Almost done...just...need another moment.

Gwen'ora shifted her tricorder around where the small group sat, verifying the readings were clear as she turned her gaze to Doucat.

Tasen: Dr. Doucat, I believe I've gotten rid of enough of the radiation within our vicinity to give it a shot. Ask them to give it a try.

The Ba'ku woman held her breath after she spoke. Sure the radiation had gotten cleared mostly but the heat and smoke were still rather not enjoyable.

Doucet: =/\= Bridge. Doucet here. Can you beam all of us to Sickbay now? =/\=

Bridge: Response

For a moment, Gwen looked to the hurt officers around them and closed her eyes in a sort of wish. Hoping that it worked. After the moment passed, Gwen opened her eyes to see the tall tale signs of the transporters lights around them. The woman couldn't help the brilliant smile that spread across her face. The amplifying and adjusting the helmet had worked!

(( Primary Sickbay, Deck 12, USS Astraeus ))

Gwen blinked and suddenly the vision changed from the hellscape that had been that bloody and destroyed room to the nice clean and crazy medical bay. The Ba'ku woman quickly stood and picked up the helmet mess she had affixed together.

Tasen: With everything going on. I'll report to Commander Serala that we made it to Sickbay and get out of the way.

Saa / Doucet / Ennen: Response

Gwen nodded and shifted away from the wave of crazy that immediately seemed to sweep up the doctors. It felt good to breath clean air...air that wasn't being oddly filtered, filled with smoke and warm. She was overall fine just needed a moment of clean air. Gwen held her helmet contraption and quickly moved from the part of the room they had been placed in. The woman moved for the door, exiting as soon as she was free to do so. Plus if she started feeling gross she knew where to go and her roommate was a doctor.

(( Corridors Outside of Primary Sickbay, Deck 12, USS Astraeus ))

Gwen was a distance away from the bay before she hit her communicator.

Tasen: =/\= Ensign Tasen to Commander Serala =/\=

Serala: =/\= Response =/\=

Tasen: =/\= Rescue team is successfully in Sickbay with all of the injured from the upper Operations room. Do you have anywhere in particular you want me to report? Or just return to my post on the bridge? =/\=

As Gwen waited on a response she worked at getting off the environmental suit. She would have just rushed to a station but since she was already talking to the Commander and had been assigned to her team in operations, she wanted to verify.

Serala: =/\= Response =/\=
