Lael exhaled as she stepped onto the bridge, striding toward that center chair but not sitting down. Her mind was racing with all the different pieces that needed to fall into place. However, she was blessed with a solid crew and she knew she only had to give the order and it would be done. A smile crossed her lips, confident that together, they could do anything.

Tucking her hands behind her back, she addressed Chris’s team first.

Rosek-Skyfire: Lieutenant, according to regulations, the Captain and first officer cannot be on an away mission at the same time. Therefore, the bridge will be yours while I’m away.

The mischievous glint in her eye conveyed that she was teasing, hoping that it would reassure her Number One. Even in the short span of time they’d worked together, she’d come to respect how he balanced her out. His perspective was always refreshing, even if the stubborn side of her didn’t fully embrace it.

Caldwell: Response

Rosek-Skyfire: ::smiles:: Don’t worry, Lieutenant. Ambassador Charta-Von will remain with you to offer her wisdom, as well as Lieutenant Ral and Ensign Wright. ::to Wright:: As a test of your flexibility, Ensign, I would like you to take over Operations. ::to Ral:: Your expertise, Lieutenant, will serve as a boon for the Lieutenant.

Charta-Von / Ral / Wright: Responses

Rosek-Skyfire: ::to Caldwell:: Feel free to fill the other stations at your discretion.

Caldwell: Response

With that sorted, she turned to those who would accompany her.

Rosek-Skyfire: ::to Kiax:: Commander, your expertise and many lifetimes of experience are needed planetside. I will need your exceptional observation skills and leadership with me while I’m talking with the Chancellor. ::nods her head to Charta-Von:: As the Ambassador has pointed out, we need to determine why the Chancellor is so reluctant to accept our help when he’s never expressed this in the past. I agree that there’s more to this.

Kiax: Response

Rosek-Skyfire: ::to Tam:: I understand that you are still recovering from an injury, Lieutenant, but I would be most appreciative of your assistance ::to Kol:: and yours, Lieutenant, in putting the Chancellor at ease.

Tam / Kol: Responses

She nodded, grateful for everyone’s flexibility. This situation was a test for them all, herself included. Extenuating circumstances required that they all be willing to step out of their comfort zones to ensure the mission’s success.

Rosek-Skyfire: And last but not least… ::taps her commbadge:: =/\= Rosek to Sickbay. =/\=

Harford / Shivara / Winslett / Sulok: Responses

Rosek-Skyfire: ::nods:: =/\= Excellent. Your efforts are much appreciated. Have you made progress, then? =/\=

Harford: Response

Shivara / Winslett / Sulok: Responses

Rosek-Skyfire: ::pauses:: =/\= I’ve convinced the Chancellor to accept a tema to render medical assistance. How soon can your team be ready? =/\=

Harford: Response

Shivara / Winslett / Sulok: Responses

Rosek-Skyfire: =/\= My team and I plan to beam down in 25 minutes, pending coordinates from the Chancellor. =/\=

Kiax / Kol: Responses

Rosek-Skyfire: ::nods and smiles:: Excellent. =/\= Which we have just received. Will you be able to join us in the transporter room? =/\=
