Mei’konda: Lieutenant! We do not have the tiime for this conversaation! I’ll go for a panel, Tasen, you do the saame! One of us will be aable to lock on to her! Matthews, Caldwell, you and Rosek distraact her! If we can lock on, we will beaam her to an empty cargo bay!

Feeling his pride stinging and cheeks flushing, Lieutenant Matthews had to wrestle against saying what was on his mind.

oO Fine. You do you and I’ll do me. You point, I’ll shoot. Next time you want a suggestion from me you can kiss m--- Oo

Rosek-Skyfire: Everyone, lay down cover fire! Don’t hit her if you can avoid it!

Promptly obliging, Charlie raised his phaser and took several pot shots at the now Borg Ensign Tam, as an overly chipper sarcastic tone laced around his response.

Matthews: Aye, Sir(!)

Tasen: To a cargo bay… yes sir!

Caldwell: Response

Taking random shots towards their Borg assailant whenever he had the chance, though admittedly not trying too hard to hit his target, Matthews watched as Captain Mei’konda launched into action and darted towards the console nestled next to the chair that a Counsellor or Diplomat would usually find themselves in.

Glancing from behind his cover, he saw several phaser blasts landing a little too close to the Caitian than anyone would have liked and replied in kind, just hoping to distract Tam enough for Delano to get to where he was going. As he leant against the walls of the Bridge to hide himself away from an incoming orange streak, he ducked down to reduce himself as a target and peered around from his new position. He watched as the drone shimmered with the familiar blue of a Starfleet transporter, letting out a sigh of relief as she finally disappeared, before lowering his phaser one Lieutenant Commander Rosek-Skyfire signalled that it seemed safe to do so.

Mei’konda: … Get me status reports on the rest of the ship immediaately, Commander Rosek. Is everyone all riight?

Rosek-Skyfire: ::grimaces and grips her side:: I’ll live–for now. :taps something into the console quickly:: Working on those status reports, sir. Give me a minute.

Charles glanced around at the others before making his way back up to the Tactical Station.

Matthews: Fine. Captain.

Tasen: I’m… fine, Sir. ::Clasping her hands together to hide the shaking::

Caldwell: Response

Rosek-Skyfire: Casualty reports coming in, sir! ::exhales:: Three fatalities so far. The rest look like they range from minor to severe. ::to Caldwell:: See if you can get in touch with Sickbay. I’m having a hard time raising them.

Caldwell: Response

Rosek-Skyfire: ::brow furrows:: Engineering teams appear to have evacuated, sir.

Mei’konda: Lieutenant Ral’s teams have evacuaated Engineering? Computer, locate Wyatt Ral.

Computer: Lieutenant Wyatt Ral is on deck nine, Stellar Cartography.

As Matthews tapped away at the Tactical console, he grimaced at what he was hearing. Whatever was going on was clearly happening all over the ship and it must have been pretty bad for the Engineering crew to finally end up on deck nine.

Rosek-Skyfire: I’m going to send an encrypted message out to all departments. Let them know about the transporter idea. See if we can get the drones out of the way to more clearly assess casualties and damage.

Mei’konda: Lieutenants, I know research aren’t exaactly your fields, but I need you to compiile whatever data on who has been affected. Find out what they have in common. It cannot be as siimple as what race they are, where they’ve vacaationed, what species they are… our initial reports have no rhyme or reason.

oO You point, I’ll shoot. Oo

He simply nodded, tapping at the Tactical console and established a link between his station and the one where Lieutenant Caldwell sat.

Matthews: Aye, Sir. ::pause:: Lieutenant Caldwell, I’ve established a link between our two stations. We can collaborate through that.

Caldwell: Response

Charles typed a message for the human pilot before sending it his way.

//
Chris. I’ll take the Primary Hull; you take the Secondary and we’ll see if we can get through this absolute crap. Happy Frontier Day!
//

Mei’konda: Ensign Tasen, I need you to fiind a way to burn through the interference out there. Prioritiize giving me the status of the Home Fleet at Sol station. We need to see if they’ve been affected as well, and whether or not the siignal out there might have something to do with it.

Tasen: Yes sir.

Mei’konda: Commander Rosek, taake the Engineering station. Find out what our status is, and give me a count of who many are left down there, as well as… if they are in the same state as Ensign Tam. And, contaact our erstwhile Chief Engineer and whoever else he’s with as soon as possible. We need to coordinaate with him to take back Main Engineering, and we must also regaiin contact with Sickbay.

Rosek-Skyfire: ::nods:: Aye, sir.

Mei’konda: Yes. I’ll taake Mission Ops. See who I can start beamiing to Tam’s cargo bay, and assumiing they’re functional, I’ll get force fields up and secure that hold. Work fast, everyone.

Rosek-Skyfire: ::taps her commbadge:: =/\= Rosek to Ral. =/\=

Whilst still trying to gather some usable data relating to those who had, somehow, been assimilated, he listened as the new First Officer attempted to contact Chief Engineer Ral. Her efforts so far were not yielding much of a reward.

Rosek-Skyfire: ::taps her commbadge:: =/\= Rosek to Ral. Do you read? =/\=

Charles shook his head as she murmured in annoyance.

oO Is Ral still there to read anything? Oo

Rosek-Skyfire: ::taps her commbadge:: =/\= Rosek to Ral. Do you read? =/\=

Ral: =/\= Response =/\=

Rosek-Skyfire: ::smiles:: =/\= It’s good to hear your voice. From what we’ve been able to gather, you and your teams had to evacuate Engineering? =/\=

Ral: =/\= Response =/\=

Rosek-Skyfire: =/\= What did the situation look like down there before you left? How many injured? How many had been Borgified? =/\=

Ral: =/\= Response =/\=

Alentonis: =/\= Stellar Cartography reporting in, Commander. Deck 9 seems to be the least borgified. Dr. Saa observed that it seemed to hit like either a contagion or a virus of some sort. =/\=

Rosek-Skyfire: =/\= Response =/\=

Shewytch: =/\= Shewytch is in touch. Internal sensors indicate a small number of Borg on our deck. =/\=

Saa: =/\= Yes, there is some factor that appears to make part of the population immune, however to do this… it would imply that it's likely everyone is a carrier of whatever this is. =/\=

Ral: =/\= Response =/\=

Alentonis: =/\= The only thing I positively confirmed from the Artemis logs is that whatever it was is heading for the Sol sector. I can't be positive where exactly in the Sol system it's headed, but it's plausible we may come back to find an asteroid field instead of the Milky Way even at warp 15 speed. =/\=

Rosek-Skyfire: =/\= Response =/\=

Shewytch: =/\= So now the only thing we can really do is to resist those who are on the ship, and then we can do little to help the Earth? =/\=

Saa: =/\= I haven’t heard from Dr. Fianna in Sickbay, she was in charge and was prepping for influx of mass casualties. =/\=

Ral: =/\= Response =/\=

Shewytch: =/\= Commander, are you on the bridge? Do you require assistance? Because we're just building a route to the top. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to go to the medical bay to examine the biofilters? Maybe we'll learn more about the unknown infection. =/\=

Alentonis / Rosek-Skyfire: =/\= Response =/\=

Saa: =/\= Commander Rosek-Skyfire, I need to make it back to Medical, if Dr. Fianna was changed, I need to get everything up and operational as well as assess the damage down there.  If there are any wounded on the bridge, I’ll send an all clear for transport in, I… was in the labs when everything happened and ill equipped to handle multiple injuries until I have supplies.  =/\=

Ral / Alentonis / Rosek-Skyfire: =/\= Response =/\=

Saa: =/\= I understand. =/\=

Tasen: ::muttering to herself as she works:: Okay… so if I shift this here, that clears it up some. Maybe… ::her mumbles continue on under her breath, some choice words beneath her breath::

Whilst trying to ignore the background chatter between the First Officer and the rest of those at Stellar Cartography, Lieutenant Matthews tapped away at his console and started to look over the data that was starting to come in.

His brow furrowed.

Matthews: Is that a… pattern? Lieutenant Caldwell? ::pause:: Can you see it? I’ll share my findings.

Caldwell: Response

//
The only distinct difference between those who are drones and those who aren’t is their age. None are older than thirty, regardless of any other factors it seems.
