(( 3 Days After Frontier Day ))

Gwen'ora stood among the Botanical Gardens. It was beautiful to say the least. Normally Gwen would be studying each plant, curious if it was a native plant or if it was brought here. Aiming to understand and grow her knowledge, though today felt different. The last few days had been a blur of emotion, healing, and work.

When the Captain moved to stand on boulders, Gwen caught the hushed mumbles and movement as she joined the other gathered officers to stand at attention. The last ceremony Gwen had attended had been the one that had occurred not long after she and Sevan had joined the Astraeus. She'd watched people get promoted and receive medals. It hadn't seemed so clouded then, but even with the bright sun being blocked by the redwood trees, Gwen wondered how many of the officers around her had that haze sitting on them still from the events of the last few weeks.

Mei’konda: Thaank you all for coming. I know that you all haave things you’d rather be doing. But, it is important to me thaat I thank all of you personally. These awaards may feel… almost meaningless, given what we all just faaced, but it is a way of knowing that Starfleet, that I, acknowledge what you all have done. You pushed yourselves to the limit, and your efforts helped to saave this planet.

Gwen shifted, her gaze on the Captain as he spoke. It was such an odd feeling. Knowing that they had done so much to help stop Earth from being a crater. That they had done so much for so many on the station. It had been several days of rushed insanity that continued to dial to higher and higher intensities that tested them all. Gwen still hadn't fully worked through the mess she'd worked herself into. But she was getting there.

Mei’konda: Some of you maay have noticed Commander Serala’s absence. She is otherwiise occupied today, dealiing with some debriefings relaated to the Chin’toka. It doesn’t appear that she is in any reaal trouble. She just needs to giive an accountiing of events. For thaat reason, Commander Rosek-Skyfire is contiinuing as my acting First Officer, for the time being.

Rosek-Skyfire / Any: Responses

A small smile hit the Ba'ku's face. At least Commander Serala wasn't in trouble. She had stolen a Starfleet ship in the middle of a catastrophic event and helped save lives. The main thing Gwen was curious about in regards to that was if Commander Serala was going to be keeping the Chin'toka.

Mei’konda: Fiirst, for obviious reasons, our entire crew is being awaarded the Borg Service Medal. Also, Starfleet Command has creaated an acknowledgment specifically for the these… events, the Frontier Day Ribbon. Finally, for our specific actiions in working to save Earth, we haave been awarded something that I think few of us ever wish to receive, due to the circumstaances surrounding it. The UFP Medal of Freedom.

Any: Responses

Gwen stayed quiet as she listened to others speak softly around her. They had survived a mess that had taken so many from the universe. And they were receiving ribbons for it. The Ba'ku woman did not know exactly how to feel about it. Did they deserve it? She searched the faces of those around her, wishing momentarily to have Sevan's abilities to understand those around her to see if others were feeling similar. In the end, Gwen accepted it. They had done their best and fought to save as many as possible.

Mei’konda: Some speciific members of the Astraeus’ crew have been authoriized to receive some of Starfleet’s highest honors. Commander Rosek-Skyfire, let’s get you and I out of the waay. Lieutenant Caldwell, Lieutenant Commander Alentonis, would you joiin us up here?

Rosek-Skyfire / Alentonis / Caldwell: Responses

Mei’konda: For our efforts in commandiing the Saucer and Stardrive sectiions during this crisis, you and I have been awarded the Starfleet Medal of Valour. Commander Alentonis, Lieutenant Caldwell, I am giving you the saame award for your efforts to saave as many as you could from Sol Station, with tiime very short. Many people are aliive now who would not be, directly due to your efforts. Thaank you.

Rosek-Skyfire / Alentonis / Caldwell: Responses

Gwen joined the others in a soft applause. If it wasn't for Captain Mei'konda and First Officer Rosek-Skyfire, they would have been grasping at strings. Instead they had direction and leadership to help them do what had felt impossible at the time. Then when Commander Alentonis and Lieutenant Caldwell had apparently ended up on the station...Gwen was glad they had successfully gotten them back.

Mei’konda: One zero one and Zero zero zero, Lieutenant Matthews, Divya Tam, Lieutenant Ral.

A small smile was offered to each of the individuals as they moved to answer the Captain's call.

Mei’konda: Doctor Sevantha Saa, Doctor Kris Fianna. Lieutenant Slav Shewytch, and Gwen’ora Tasen. I am honored to present all of you with the Distinguished Service Ribbon. Congraatulations, and thank you again.

Gwen had been hit with the feeling of feeling like one of the crew. That she fit in with these amazing people who had worked so hard to help others that she almost missed her name being called. A bit wide eyed at being included, Gwen followed behind her fellow Scientist and stood with Slav as their first officer presented the awards.

Rosek-Skyfire / 101 & 000 / Matthews: Responses

Tam: Thank you. It's an honor.

Saa: Me? I… um ::she looked to Mei’Konda:: Thank you, Sir.

Ral: Responses

Fianna: Thank you, sir.

Shewytch: Responses

Tasen: Thank you, Sir.

Gwen did not know what else to say...so she followed Slav and the others as they moved back into the crowd of their co-workers.

Mei’konda: Next, Commander Kiax, pleaase join us. Mister Caldwell, Doctor Saa, you two as well.

Saa: Yes, sir.

Kiax / Caldwell: Response

Mei’konda: Commander, though you were badly injured in the fiirst Changeling attack on our ship, you persevered through it, and were essential to keeping us in the fight. I look forwaard to your full recovery. You have more than earned the Purple Heart. Lieutenant Caldwell, Doctor Fianna. I am especiially sorry that the two of you have haad to go through so much early in your Starfleet careers. But you, and the rest of us, sometiimes put ourselves on the line so thaat others are safe. Both of you are also awaarded the Purple Heart.

Rosek-Skyfire: Responses

Fianna: Thank you, sir.

Kiax / Caldwell: Responses

Mei’konda: One zero one and Zero zero zero, Doctor Fianna, Ensign Tasen, please step forwaard. Lieutenant Shewytch, Doctor Saa, I’d liike you to step forward as well.

101 & 000 / Fianna / Shewytch: Responses

Saa: Sir.

Mei’konda: One zero one, Zero zero zero, the two of you went through somethiing intensely traumatiic. Bynars should not be separaated, especially not in the way you two were. Doctor Fianna, Ensign Tasen, both of you, and many other members of this crew, were… forced to do thiings that you had no control over. But the moment that control was even paartially interrupted, you threw yourselves baack into your duties. You fought to save your crew, this planet, and the Federation. I hope you caan be proud of the Recovery Ribbon. It is a symbol of your strength, and our graatitude.

Rosek-Skyfire: Response

Fianna: ...Thank you, sir.

101: Responses

Gwen followed and stayed silent, providing a small respectful smile throughout the proceedings. She was proud of those around her who were quickly becoming important to her life on the ship. Though she was at lost for what to stay beyond being appreciative and respectful.

Mei’konda: Doctors Fianna and Saa, Lieutenant Shewytch, you all fought to fight the Borg siignal which tried, and ultimaately failed, to assimilate our young. You fought to saave the lives of your crewmates, and of the thousaands of refugees we ultimaately transported off of Sol Station. I am awaarding all three of you the Lifesaving Ribbon, as well as the Gold Lifesaving Ribbon. Thank you, and thaank you to the rest of the medical and science depaartments.

Rosek-Skyfire: Response

Fianna: Thank you, sir.
